20. Pool

You sighed as you sat with your legs in the pool. The other girls were in the pool already, hitting a volleyball back and forth.

"Y/n, are you sure you don't wanna join?" Uraraka asked.

You shook your head. "I'm good right here."

I can't believe I'm here right now...

You didn't even know that the school had a pool. But when your dad told you that the kids from 1-a were going to the pool and that you should go, you knew you definitely didn't want to go.

But then Todoroki texted you, asking if you were going. And you didn't want to let him down.

Yet Todoroki wasn't even here.

You put your elbows on your knees and sighed as you put your head in your hands.

Why did I come?

You suddenly heard a lot more voices and you turned your head just in time to see the boys walk out already in their swimsuits.

Todoroki walked over to you and sat down beside you, also putting his legs in the water.

"I didn't expect you to actually come" He said. "I thought you hated people."

"I do" You said with a shrug. "But you asked if I was coming so I decided to."

He raised his eyebrows. "You came because I asked?"

You nodded.

"You didn't have to do that" He said.

You shrugged again. "Well I'm here now, no going back."

You both looked over when you heard a scream.

You saw Mineta and Kaminari, both with tears in their eyes at the fact that the girls weren't wearing bikinis.

"It's okay, it's okay" Mineta said as he wiped his eyes. "These swimsuits aren't that bad. They definitely aren't bikinis, but they aren't that bad."

"Dude, you're down bad" Kaminari said. "Like I knew it was bad, but- it's bad, bad."

Mineta scooted closer to Kaminari. "Plus, Y/n is here." He whispered. "Don't know why, don't know how, but it's a blessing."

Let's just say he definitely didn't have the best whispering skills.

"I'm gonna kick you!" You yelled over to him.

"How'd she hear me?" He asked Kaminari in another whisper.

"Cause you're loud?!" Kaminari answered.

You rolled your eyes. "They're gross" You said to Todoroki.

"Yeah" He agreed. "I hope they know that everyone thinks they're perverts."

"They are perverts." You said as the volleyball came towards you.

You quickly raised your hand to hit it back over to the girls before it could hit you.

Todoroki pushed himself off the ledge of the pool and lowered himself into the water until his feet touched the bottom.

"You coming in?" He asked.

You shrugged. "It's kinda cold. That's why I just have my legs in."

He raised his left arm out towards you and moved infront of you. "I'll keep you warm"

You couldn't help but smile at him as you put your hand in his and then used your other one to push yourself off the ledge.

The water was really cold, and to avoid going in it right away you moved both your hands to Todoroki's shoulders to keep you up.
