"I'm burning and it's because of you."
Three years ago one decision tore them apart before they even could be together. Now they meet again. With memories of the past and sweet promises of the future the world doesn't seem so bad. But the greed and...

The dinner was indeed good, more than good. Earth took Mix to a small friendly restaurant located close to Earth's house.
They had a table outside right next to a small pond with colourful fish and Water Lillies in it. The sun was replaced by the moon and the stars hanging in the clear night sky.
They had marinated steaks, pasta, and a few glasses of dry red wine that Mix didn't even want to know the price of.
When Mix agreed to go on a date with Earth, he was afraid that he was making a mistake, falling into Earth's trap. But now sitting across Earth one the small round table and watching his face glowing while talking about how he planned to paint that pond next to them because to him the pond had a shape of a heart and he had never seen one like that before, Mix knew it wasn't a mistake. Actually, it was probably one of the best decisions he had done since he decided to leave the school.
They let life play with them once — liking each other both at the same time, but both too afraid to say anything. Mix won't let life play with them again. And he was sure that Earth won't let that happen either.
Mix would lie if he said he never imagined how it would be if things with school and Earth's father turned out differently. If Mix would ask Earth out before his friends started their stupid pranks. Or if Earth would say something instead of just quietly watching.
If they would start dating at school would they be the couple of the whole university? Would they still be together even now? Would Earth be still so eager to take Mix on a date as he was today?
Mix quietly laughed at himself, it was too late to think about what would be if... It was time to focus on the present and look out to the future.
Mix stretched his hand across the table interlocking his fingers with Earth's.
Earth stopped his monologue about what kind of brushes he would use to paint the fish and looked at their interlocked fingers, and then at Mix.
"Thank you for tonight. I like it. It's nice," Mix felt Earth squeezing his hand gently. "Honestly, I was worried to accept this date. I guess I was worried that if I do I would realize that we can never be more than friends."
Earth's mouth was dry, his heart was suddenly beating too fast. He was scared of Mix's next words. "Are you still worried?"
Mix shook his head, his lips forming a gentle smile. "No. Instead, I realized that feelings aren't that easy to lose. And I wasn't lucky enough to lose mine for you."
The corners of Earth's lips curved in a breathtaking smile, there were wrinkles around his eyes when he smiled like that — like the whole world was filled with love, like flowers blossoming in winter, like rain in a desert — it was rare.
