"Here, you can put your things here and go take a shower if you want to before we talk," Earth let his mother in the hotel room he was sharing with Mix. "We would like to fly back home tomorrow morning so you'll be sleeping here for the night."

Earth's mother nodded and grabbed everything she needed from her bag, "I won't take long. I know you probably want to hear everything as soon as possible."

"Yeah, mom, we really do," Earth's voice came off stronger than he intended but it didn't matter; he was tired of being in the dark. And knowing that his mom had all the answers but not being able to get them immediately was eating him alive. But yes, he understood...his mother just got out of the psychiatric clinic she needed some time to get used to her free life again.

When the bathroom doors closed behind Earth's mother Mix took Earth's hand and sat him down on the bed, "don't get frustrated now, okay?" Mix massaged Earth's strained shoulders. "We already have her here with us. I would say that this is a big win."

Earth reached for one of Mix's hands and brushed his lips in a soft kiss over Mix's knuckles, "you are right. I mean not only do I know where my mom is but I have her back. I didn't even dream about that but," he took a deep breath, "depending on what she'll tell us...only then we'll find out if having her around was the best idea."

"What do you mean?" Mix kissed Earth's temple and ran his fingers through Earth's hair, down to his neck.

"I'm not sure if she is going to be safe with us," Earth breathed out.

Mix shook his head, "no! Don't back away now! You wanted to take her out of that clinic. You wanted to take her home. You wanted to deal with your father and whatever the heck my mom has to do with all of this. You can't just start doubting everything now. And especially not before you know what your mom has to say."

Earth looked at Mix, smiling fondly at Mix's determination and an adorable wrinkle in between his eyebrows that appeared whenever he was frowning. Earth leaned in and kissed that frown away, chuckling at a pink hue that suddenly covered Mix's cheeks.

"My doll is blushing at forehead kiss now, really?"

"Forehead kisses are cute, okay?" Mix looked away.

Earth laughed but only for a moment before his eyes fell on his mother slowly approaching them. He leaned to Mix's ear, "I'm not backing away, don't worry."

"Am I interrupting?" Earth's mother sat on the sofa opposite the bed, "I could take my own room. Wouldn't that be more comfortable—"

"No, nothing like that, mom. You are staying here. It's fine," Earth rested his elbows on his knees and leaned forward, "if you are ready, you can start."
