"Aren't you tired?" Earth asked.

It was already past midnight. Mix was standing in front of the window, staring at the outside world shrouded in the quiet darkness. Street lights were casting an orange shade on the road and a few night owls were still out there not interested in going home or simply not having a home to go to.

Mix realized, he was actually lucky. He wasn't rich but he still had a place to go to every night. He still had home. Two homes actually. This small apartment became like his second home a long time ago.

He loved being at the house with his mother but sometimes he needed to be alone. It was nice to just walk into an empty apartment, not having to answer any questions about his day and just be with himself and no one else.

Sing didn't realize but giving Mix this apartment was probably the best thing he could have done for him. Mix was surprised when Sing said that he wasn't interested in using this apartment anymore and that if Mix doesn't want it, Sing would sell it to anyone who would be interested. Mix always found this apartment welcoming. He always felt good there, at peace.

But he didn't feel like it now. Was Mix tired? Of course, he was. But he couldn't sleep — his best friend was locked up in some hostile cell, hungry and tired. Mix would feel as if he was betraying Sing if he would just go to sleep as if nothing was happening. He already felt bad for being more preoccupied with his jealousy during the day than trying to do everything that he could to help Sing.

Maybe if Mix wasn't so jealous over the non-existent relationship between Earth and Henry he would actually figure something out himself. Was Henry truly the best option for Sing? Couldn't Mix find someone else? Or he just should take Janhae and go straight to the police station. Henry said that the attentat happened the day before yesterday. That day Sing was with Janhae, then with Mix, then with Janhae again. He wouldn't have time to do it.

Mix sighed, putting his head in his hands. That would be just their word against — against who? Fucking who?

"Mix, let's sleep," Mix felt Earth's protective arms around himself, "it's almost two. You need some rest, it's been a lot on you yesterday."

Mix let himself melt into Earth's arms, resting his head on Earth's chest. "I can't."

"Mix—"

"I don't want to."

"Alright," Earth kissed Mix's temple, "at least lay with me — we don't have to sleep."

"Uhm," Mix nodded and they got into bed, Mix's head pressed to Earth's chest, his hands around Earth's waist. "Remember that time — our university bonding trip? We had to sleep in one tent because you forgot yours at the bus station," Mix said, glancing up at Earth.
