His father knew about them being after him

His father knew about them being after him. But how? It didn't make sense. How would he find out? The only way would be if Jay told everything he knew so far to Earth's father a long time ago.  Was Earth wrong for believing Jay even for a moment? If Jay was the one who told everything to Earth's father then that would mean that he also knows about Mix.

Earth sighed, this has to have an explanation. He needs more information. "So my father just took her? Why so suddenly? Did he explain why?"

The old woman, now when Earth thought about it she was probably a nurse, cocked her eyebrow, "what's here to explain? Your father does it every month. He comes here, takes your mother with him for a couple of days and then brings her back. It's a form of therapy for her. It's good to spend a couple of days once in a while with someone from your close family. Of course, there is a nurse with them, making sure that your mother is taking all her pills, getting enough rest and isn't under any stress. The nurse also keeps her eye on the behaviour of your mother to be able to step in and stop it in case it starts getting out of hand. How come you don't know any of that if you are her son? Moreover, how come you were never here before if you are her son?"

So, Earth's father does this every month? That means that there is still a chance that he doesn't know about anything that is Earth and Mix doing. However, Earth doesn't feel particularly better now, knowing that his mother is every month for a couple of days with the person who locked her up, to begin with. It doesn't make sense and it's somehow unsettling. Earth would truly laugh if his father came up with an explanation that the reason why he is doing these monthly visits is that he loves his wife and he really misses her.

But if Earth's father was planning to bring Earth's mother back then they could wait this couple of days. That wasn't the problem. The problem was how to persuade especially the older nurse to keep her mouth shut in front of his father.

"Thank you for your explanation. Till recently I wasn't informed that my mother was getting treated in this institution, that's why I wasn't here before. You know, I don't have exactly the best relationship with my father."

The old nurse narrowed her eyes and looked at Earth up and down, not even once she glanced at Mix, "show me your ID."

Earth looked at Mix who just nodded and reassuringly patted his back. Earth took out his ID and show it to the suspicious nurse. Her wrinkled forehead got even more wrinkled before it relaxed and she mumbled to herself, "Watthanasetsiri...Pirapat...Pirapat..." she looked up at Earth, "your mother calls you Earth."

There was something incredibly heavy that dropped from Earth's heart; his mom remembered him. Yes, Mix kept reassuring him that she would, that there was no other way but there was still this quiet voice in the back of Earth's mind whispering to him what if...what if she didn't remember? what if she didn't want to remember? what if the medication they were giving her made her forget? what if she really went crazy? what if...what if...what if...
