"She seems really vibe with Jan," Mix said, walking down the stairs from Janhae's room where he left Earth's mother.
"Wonderful!" Sing scoffed, "that's what my girlfriend needs; a new friend who is twice her age and has a shit tone of problems."
"And is rich," Mix rolled his eyes, "you forgot to add."
"I'm serious, Mix."
"Me too," Mix walked around Sing and sat on the sofa, "stop acting as if Earth or his mother want to harm us in any way. You know that's not the truth."
"Yeah?" Sing cocked his head, "what about his father then? He doesn't want to hurt anyone either?"
Mix sighed, "about that...come, sit here," he patted the free space right next to him. "I have something to tell you."
"Oh, that sounds like great news," Sing reluctantly sat down next to Mix, eyeing him with worries.
Mix was considering pouring it all on Sing slowly. Maybe beat around a bush for a while to get Sing tired of listening to him and then after all the stupid bullshit that he would tell him only then Mix would finally talk about how Jay was a bodyguard for the Watthanasetsiri family.
But thinking about it now when his best friend was sitting right in front of him, waiting for Mix to finally say something, Mix changed his mind. Sing deserved to be told straightforwardly and on top of that Mix was tired already, worrying about Earth and whatever was right now happening in that hotel. Too occupied of a mind meant the simplest solution was the best solution.
"Your uncle worked for Earth's family as a bodyguard."
Sing choked out a laugh, his jaw twitching in surprise, "you know, out of everyone I didn't think that you would be one making jokes about my dead uncle."
"I'm not making jokes," Mix said slowly. "You knew that your uncle was a bodyguard. Sing, ordinary people don't have bodyguards. You had to know that he was working for someone important, someone with money. And that someone turned out to be Earth's father."
Sing shook his head, "that's bullshit!"
Mix continued as if Sing said nothing, "your uncle worked for Earth's father for a long time but recently he worked as Earth's personal bodyguard, that's how I found out about him. Shortly before we left for the U.S. Earth found your uncle in his father's office in the middle of the night. It was weird enough that Earth couldn't trust him anymore and sent him home. Days later you called and told me that your uncle is dead."
"So it wasn't an overdose..." Sing stood up, glaring at Mix, "I knew it wasn't a fucking overdose! Who did it? Earth's father or Earth himself?"
In seconds Mix grabbed the collar of Sing's shirt and shook his whole body, "get a fuckin grip already! Earth isn't the fucking problem here! Your uncle was killed because he knew about Watthanasetsiri's dirty business and he wanted to snitch on him to the police. That's why I'm worried about Earth and that's why you should be worried about yourself and Jan too instead of finding any chance you get to shit on Earth! Get it! You better pray that whatever is going on in that hotel right now will end well!"
