Earth waited for the smoke break — that usually happened around 2 PM but only when his father wasn't home. All the bodyguards in the house go outside for a smoke, without being afraid that they would get shouted at for not doing their work.

Right now, this was the best time for Earth to get into his father's office without being seen. The door slowly opened, Earth's face stick out, checking if the air was clear. The corridor seemed to be empty, only some mumbled voices could be heard from downstairs.

This is way more serious than the things before. Attacking young master Earth — there's only one thing they want.

You seriously think—

What else? If young master Earth is dead, who will take over the company, huh?

Once he finds out the real nature of the company, I'm afraid he won't have to be dead for him to not take over it.

Have you lost your mind? Don't talk about it here, fuck.

Earth caught only glimpses of the conversation before the bodyguards' voices trailed over. He suddenly had even more questions than before — what were 'the things before' and what they meant by 'the real nature of the company'?

Watthanasetsiri family owned a chain of five stars hotels all over Asia, that was it — nothing extraordinary, at least in the high-end scope of business.

Earth shook his head, now wasn't the time to think about it, and went down the empty corridor, his feet lightly touching the soft red carpet — even their house looked more like a hotel rather than a family house.

Earth stepped into his father's office, smirking for himself. One thing Earth never understood about his father was that for someone who was so private about their business, Earth's father never locked his office.

Stupid of his father, convenient for Earth.

There was a lingering odour of Cuban cigar and whisky present in the air. Earth scrunched his nose — he was never keen on that smell, especially the cigar one; too many bad memories.

He walked to the big old office desk, opening one drawer after the other. The receipt template should be somewhere in those drawers. After a few unlucky tries his eyes landed on the stock of empty receipts in the left bottom drawer, "bingo!"

Earth took one receipt but then grabbed another one, just in case. He folded it into his back pocket and was ready to leave when his father's laptop let out a loud 'ding,' there was an email blinking on the screen.

Earth didn't even realize that the laptop was on before. He wanted just to ignore it and go back to his room but then the conversation of the bodyguards from a few minutes ago entered his consciousness and the idea struck in.
