"Here we are," Taehyun said.

Hyunhee quickly looked around. Taehyun pulled her closer not to lose her in the sea of people. It was getting crowded and no one might spot her if she got lost again.

"She's probably crying somewhere," Hyunhee pouted as she hugged her sling bag with her free hand.

"So she's really a cry baby?" Taehyun chuckled, gently holding the little girl's hand. "You shouldn't have gone too far with your game then."

The low key scolding made Hyunhee pout even more.

"Don't give me that pout again, little one," Taehyun chuckled as they walked deeper into the crowd. He bumped into strangers but managed to protect the young girl so she wouldn't get hurt. "Your parents will scold you too. So brace yourself."

"Eomma scolds us a lot. Now I'm scared," She faked a cry, stomping her feet on the ground which made Taehyun laugh.

"What about your dad?"

"We haven't met him," she said.

Her bubbly appearance suddenly changed, her pretty features saddened as Taehyun looked down on her. He felt pity towards the little girl as he imagined how hard it must have been for the little ones to grow up not knowing their father. It will go worse as their young hearts grew older and Taehyun couldn't even think of how the kid's mother handled everything by herself.

Somehow, his thoughts drifted back to his ex-wife. He wondered once again, how she'd been with him not on her side. If things didn't go wrong, maybe, just maybe, they would've started their own family that Taehyun had once dreamed of.

All had gone to waste when he acted out so impulsively, disregarding his beating heart.

Taehyun found it strange how he could feel a pang in his chest as he looked at Hyunhee. Taehyun shook his thoughts away as he crouched down to carry her this time. They got squished in the most crowded part of the park and Taehyun decided to walk faster towards the less chaotic spot.

Not even a minute when they reached the playground, Hyunhee shrieked as she pointed ahead. She was so happy that she even tugged on Taehyun's blazer.

"Mr. Kang! That's my sister!" She squealed on top of her lungs and Taehyun widened his eyes a bit, looking at the direction.

He squinted his eyes and then another little girl came to them. Hyunhee never stopped squealing as she wiggled her frame from Taehyun's grip, her feet kicking here and there indicating that she wanted to be put down to reunite with her sister.

"Holy shit," Taehyun whispered when he looked at the two little girls.

'They are twins?!'

"Mr. Kang! This is my twin sister, Kang Taemi!"

Hyunhee happily introduced her sister and the latter shortly smiled, bowing her head to greet the elder. And by the looks of it, she seemed to be the opposite of Hyunhee.

"Nice to meet you, Sir." The tiny voice lingered before she looked up at Taehyun.

He couldn't help but gasp, amazed at how identical the two looked like. They looked, so small and he felt bad that the twins might have a sore neck gazing up at him and so he decided to crouch down.

"Little grape, you didn't tell me she's also your twin," Taehyun smiled fondly and Hyunhee giggled while Taemi tilted her head as she examined the man's face.

Taehyun observed the two, he could tell that Taemi was the less enthusiastic between the two. He assumed that this one was a little shy and cautious, unlike Hyunhee who was like a ball of sunshine.
