"You are crazy!" Yeonjun yelled from the other line.
Taehyun laughed as he went out of the plane, wearing his sunglasses. "I know, hyung."
"Huh! You could've just used your own plane!"
"Didn't Soobin hyung told you? Mine was under maintenance."
Taehyun prevented his laugh again when Yeonjun sounded so annoyed in the other line. He heard a scoff, "Okay, whatever. Just.. don't come home without her and the kids!"
Yeonjun quickly ended the call. Taehyun himself was hoping that he could bring them home but deep down, he was a bit terrified of what awaited him. He didn't know what to expect and see.
He looked down on his phone and almost panicked again when he saw that there weren't much time left before the trackers became useless. He practically ran down to the car that was waiting for his arrival. The chauffeur bowed at him and was about to speak.
Taehyun took off his sunglasses and said, "It's okay. Quit the formality, I'm in a rush," he signalled the chauffeur to quickly get in the car and drive.
The city was splendid. Busy and active.
Taehyun got confused when the tracker pointed him to a very low cost neighbourhood in town just at the outskirts of the city. A long turn that he didn't expect. So he decided to head to his five-star hotel for now, to drop his belongings because it seemed like that town was likely to be filled with untrustworthy people. Who knows, pickpockets and cons might be just roaming everywhere.
It was better to act smarter so he'd stay safe in this place that was all new to him.
He wondered, what exactly was there for him to see later on?
He didn't waste anymore time just by spacing out and overthinking. Taehyun declined the chauffeur's offer of driving to his next destination. Taehyun tipped him off before he left with his own car that was shipped by cargo. Even Taehyun had to keep a low profile because he still needed to figure out the place. Even the car that he was using wasn't something really really expensive, at least that's what Taehyun thought of it.
He drove through the highway, not thinking of the need to ask for directions since the tracker was still leading him.
By the time he arrived there, the sun was close to setting down. Damn, such a tiring day but Taehyun couldn't even feel the tiredness as he still felt the familiar rush.
He parked his car somewhere that he could make a u-turn later when he leave. When he stepped out, he became cautious of the eyes around him. He was earning creepy stares and by the looks of the neighbourhood, he could safely say that the people lived here were poor.
If he were to use other words, he'd say.. people who couldn't afford much.
The houses weren't in good structure, drainages were giving off a foul unpleasant smell, people were casually roaming around. And he didn't want to believe that Y/n was a member of this messy neighbourhood.
"Good thing, I wore something simple," Taehyun muttered.
When he looked at his phone, the trackers were already gone. None were leading him anymore. At least he was really close now. It was about time to ask the people.
"Excuse me, do you know Kang- I mean.. Lim Y/n? Does she live here?"
He could hardly understand some of their responses because clearly, they don't use his language that much.
None of them said that someone named Lim Y/n lived in here but Taehyun was sure that the tracker led him to the right place.
"Ah, wait," He opened his phone and showed a picture of Y/n. He could barely find one in his gallery.
