Flight to Venice

Dear Mandy,

I hope you have a really great wedding. You and Hunter definitely deserve it after everything you've  been through. It was such a romantic story and my dream job. I was utterly honoured to be part of the perfect ending to your messy-but-lovable love story.

It is really rare to see true love in this part of town filled with rich bastards greedily grabbing at the best trophy spouse and shameless gold diggers. Trust me darling this is not gender stereotyped, anyone with a wallet or pretty face ticks the box. I hardly think even they care who they marry as long as they are the next best thing on Hi! Magazine.

Anyway regretfully I am unable to participate in the last minute wedding preparations as I just took a surprise flight to Venice.

I know this is terribly irresponsible of me and I heartily apologise. But this really was and emergency. I would have never left in the middle of a job otherwise, especially not one as great as yours.

You see I've been dating the best girl in the planet, Remi for quite sometime now. You remember her, right? She even came around for a couple of your dress fittings.

But my parents don't see her as a potential suitor and have arranged a sudden marriage for me with this celebrity Tara Wong or something, you might have seen her on all the magazine covers this month. Apparently she is quite the Internet sensation.

But I love Remi with all my heart and cannot imagine a life without her. So we did the most sensible thing ever and eloped. We could have just gotten the certificate at the city council but you see we wanted it to be fancy, I mean what wedding planner doesn't have a classy wedding.

Your probably wondering why we couldn't just shake off the Tara Wong lady. But her parents are quite the thing around here so I is going to be hard crossing them and of course my own parents are pretty stubborn.

We won't be back for another month or so and I don't think I will be able to even make it your wedding let alone organise it.

Don't worry though, I won't completely leave you in the dust, and have already started making a couple of amends.

Starting tomorrow my friend Jimmy is willing to take over. He just finished a really successful celebrity wedding in Miami. Of course the decision of hiring him is up to you and just ring him up if you do. He's ready to make the flight here as soon as he gets the job.

I also found a great Baker just a town away. She is willing to do the wedding cake and any other baked desserts or appetisers. The food for sale at the bakery was simply delicious and affordable too. I'm pretty sure the orders also match up to standard. Maybe you and Hunter can go check it out sometime.  I promise you won't be disappointed.

Being the awesome planner I am, I even found a great location and a couple decorators who are willing to turn it into your dream venue.

Also I can guarantee that Jimmy won't dissapoint and really hope you hire him. Terribly sorry for just up-and-leaving last moment like this. Sincerely hope you can forgive me.

Apologising profusely,
Ted.
