We were out there for about an hour and a half. Which was perfect, because by then it was like... what, 5:30pm? I'm honestly surprised it wasn't much longer than that, but Lance was texted by his mom that he had to come home. No surprise.

We bid farewell after learning about each other even more, and we both headed in opposite directions toward what we called 'home'.

Everyone has a definition of home - I wonder what his is?

I got home only five minutes before my mom was supposed to, which was awesome. Spencer wouldn't have to let anyone know where I was.

"Spencer? I'm home!" I shout. He's up in his room, and I hear him shout "Okay!" over the loud 80s rap music playing in his room.

I hate that stuff. He turns it down a little, knowing I'm back.

Hey, at least he's respectful, unlike some of my middle school friends I had sleepovers with. They always blasted their music. I roll my eyes at the memory and head up to my room to work on a couple of assignments. They're not due for a few days, but it's better to get a headstart on them. Seeing me with a good work ethic is pretty rare, especially after losing Arlo so suddenly a few weeks ago, but today I'm in a good mood.
