We didn't really end up stopping anywhere fun on our little road trip. We just drove and drove, stopped once at a gas station and rest area, and then basically turned around and went home. Sounds boring to some people, but, for Spencer and I, it's a blast. Spencer likes to drive, I like to see new places, we both like to listen to music... It's a win-win for us! Spencer pulls into our driveway as a new song starts, and I sigh, as it's a really good song. Reluctantly, I unplug the aux cord from my phone, which pauses the song. I exit the car and Spencer follows me, locking the car. It honks as I open the front door, alerting our mom that we've returned. She comes to the door to greet us and we both hang our coats up on the rack.

"Glad to see that you two made it back alive!" she jokes.

"We wouldn't have made it back even if we hadn't," I respond. Spencer glares at me.

I whisper to him, 'I know she's joking. Play along with me here.'

He shrugs, probably to me, as we go to sit down. "Did you go anywhere fun? Or just drive around?"

I let Spencer answer this one. "Unless you count stopping at a gas station 'fun', we just drove around..." he chuckles at himself. Mom laughs too. I can't help but to join in.

Why does laughter have to be so contagious?!
