Esme
After talking to one another on the deck out back, we moved inside to meet the crew. Aubrie immediately moves to a tall older woman with a head full of thick gray hair, and hugs her.
When they pull back from one another, they smile at the other, then Brie walks back over, and stands next to Stefano.
"Hello everyone." The woman starts, and if I had to guess her job based on her outfit, I'd say she is the Captain.
"Welcome aboard Tranquility. My name is Cara, or Captain Marino, and I am in charge of this beautiful vessel. The staff and myself are very excited to have you all aboard with us this weekend. In a few moments, I will inform you of the itinerary Mrs. Rucci drafted up for the tour, but first, I would like to give the guests and staff a chance to introduce themselves."
After introducing myself twelve times, it's safe to say I'm in desperate need of some water. Silas rubs his warm hand along my side, and then holds a bottle of water out in front of me.
Turning around in his hold, I wrap my arms around his neck, stand on my tippy toes, and pull his mouth down to meet mine.
I kiss him until I feel as if my lungs are completely empty of air, and I need to refill them. As I breathe in, Silas's musky scent is all I take in, and I smile in content.
Someone behind me clears their throat, and I unfortunately unwrap my arms from round his neck, and face forwards. Silas wraps an arm around my waist from behind, and I lean into his warm, taught front.
"Now, let's get started with the tour." Cara claps her hands once with a bright smile taking up the majority of her face, then walks in the direction of the hallway.
...
Learning where everything is, choosing rooms, and what's in store for this trip has taken around an hour, so we've all decided to regroup on the pool deck in a few hours when we anchor in the South of France.
Everyone claimed to be tired, but that's just a cover for the fact that we just want some time alone. I tried to tell Dee that if she ever felt bored or alone, she could get me, but she all but swore to leave me to be with Silas. And claimed to actually be tired, and wants nothing more than rest.
I close the closet door behind me, and lean on it while I watch Silas chest rise and fall as he lays on the giant bed in the middle of the room. When he peeks one eye open to look at me, I find myself letting out a giggle.
I can't believe I just giggled.
"Are you nervous to be around me?" He asks, his voice heavy with curiosity, and something else.
I shake my head no, and bite my bottom lip. Silas sits up immediately, then stands to his feet, and stalks towards me. I stay rooted in my spot the entire time, only moving when rubs his thumb over my neck.
