If Maxim gets her, he won't let her go untouched. Am I ready to give everything I've worked for up for her? Yes. Will she forgive me? If I were in her shoes I wouldn't.

I couldn't keep my promise.

"Come on." Stefano says, taking me from my thoughts, and when I look out the window, I see we're in the hospital parking lot.

The four of us run up to the front desk, startling the nurse seeing as she clutched her clipboard to her chest, but Stefano wastes no time.

"My wife, where is she?" This shakes the nurse out of her frightened state, and she starts to type on the keyboard in front of her.

"Name?" The nurse asks, and he rattles it off.

Entering through the emergency room entrance when the person you're looking for is in the maternity ward is a big mistake. We ran around asking for directions for at least fifteen minutes.

I sent Milo and Sean to the security office to take a look at the CCTV, going out on a limb  to see who took May, and which direction did they leave.

Stefano and I stand in front of the door they told us Aubrie's in, but he hasn't opened the door yet. He stares into the little glass window, Aubrie lying asleep while the baby lies in her arms, also asleep.

"How am I gonna protect them?" The question throws me off, and I don't know how to answer.

"I uh, I don't  think I'm the right person to ask that." Since that phone call, my thoughts haven't been sound.

If even a curl on her head is out of place, Maxim will die where he stands.

When Stefano finally turns the knob and opens the door, Brie jolts up out of her sleep, clearly panicked, but lies back down when she sees who it is. She smiles gratefully at him, tears pooling in her eyes, and she waves him over.

Looking around, Genesis and Delilah sit on the pull out couch, while Theya has curled up on the chair in the corner.

Tapping under her eyes, Genesis stands to her feet, and nods respectfully at me. I beckon her over to where I'm standing, -by the bathroom- so the others don't hear what we're saying.

"Tell me what happened, not a single detail left out." Genesis sniffs, takes in a deep breath, then starts.

I pace back and forth outside Aubrie's room, waiting for Milo and Sean to bring me any news of her captors.

Blinking my eyes further intensifies the pain I'm feeling in my head, but what makes this worse, is the fact that I cannot feel my hands. They're bound too tight.

Everytime I try to rub away the soreness, they pull tighter together. Genesis tried to teach me ways to get out of hand restrictions, but I never paid much attention.
