I had been late for my 7th job interview again. Not a great way to start the day, is it?

"Hello Miss Kim, this is Samantha from AAE, you are aware that your job interview is in a few minutes. Right? We're here to remind you that there's a line waiting so, please speed up the process."

I sigh as I quickly reply, "Yes Ma'am, I'm sorry I've been stuck in traffic. I'll be- um- hello?"

I look at my phone, seeing the interviewer had hung up on me and put my head on the steering wheel, thinking of where I had gone wrong.

"FUCK YOU, NOW I DON'T HAVE A JOB FOR FUCK'S SAKE"

A small sob escapes me as I hear my favorite song again, flooding myself with memories of my ex.

"I didn't spend 30$ getting scammed by a fucking shop! I feel so dumb."

"That's 'cause you ARE dumb, Love."

I look at her in disbelief as I suddenly attack her on the couch with tickles.

"Nuh-uh, you did NOT just say that! Tickle monster is here!" I shout as I start tickling her.

She starts laughing uncontrollably begging me to stop.

"Oh my, I love Christmas! I love Christmas when you're with me." She says, as I stop tickling her.

I look in her eyes as I say, "Christmas would be nothing without you, Beautiful."

Through the tears, a smile comes on my face when I remembered Christmas morning, last year.

"YAH! You can't just leave me here! You can't make me stay at the restaurant for more than 3 hours then come in as if nothing happened! You can't expect me to let any of this slide! You know what? I'm tired Ava. I can't do this anymore, just leave me alone."

"Babe, I'm sorry. You know I was at work and how much of a pain in the ass our boss is. I'm just doing overtime for our futu-"

"When I said we're over, I meant it. Now get the fuck out of my fucking car!"

"But if the world was ending, you'd come over right?"

I can feel another set of tears threatening to come out, when I suddenly felt a strong vibration. I widen my eyes checking my phone.

I widen my eyes as I quickly get out of the car, along with all the other people around me. The only person I could think about was you, so I quickly run to your house. I knock on the door.

You open the door, widening your blood-shot eyes. Tightly hugging me, you drag me inside. I smile as I see you.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry Ava."

"Liv, it's not your fault, none of this is. I know, you know, we know we weren't meant for each other and it's fine.

"But if the world was ending, you'd come over right? You'd come over and you'd stay the night? Would you love me for the hell of it? All our fears would be irrelevant."

I say as I smile thoughtfully. I hug you tightly as I feel a new set of tears.

We hear the ceiling crack as you hold me, wiping my tear-stained face.

"Goodbye Liv"

"Goodbye Ava"

And with that, we shared one last kiss before everything collapsed.
