Chapter 16

I sat up in bed remembering that today was thanksgiving a day of near chaos and happiness. My phone rang and I picked it up then went into the closet and answered.

"Y/n all of your family is at your house right!?" Ymir asked. "Yeah your too?" I asked. "Yes so how's Zeke?" Ymir asked.

I sighed. "Your right that was a stupid question" Ymir said. "You can pull through Y/n just two more days with him right?"

"Yeah two more days inside my home good thing he hasn't disturbed my place of peace" I said. "What's that?" Ymir asked.

"My room" I said. "Your lucky then so lucky" Ymir said. I heard loud music being played outside my room.

"Looks like the grandparents are at it again" I said. "Okay well good luck!" Ymir said. "Yeah goodluck bye!" I said.

I went downstairs and looked to see them still cooking. "Y/n come help me with this" Grandma Marina said.

I went over to her and she started washing my hands then handed me a peeler and put a bowl of potatoes in front of me.

"I'm timing you go" She said. I quickly started peeling the potatoes and once I finished she inspected all of the potatoes.

"10 potatoes in 48 seconds I have taught you well" She said. "You!?" Grandma Mae said. "We're not doing this again" Grandpa Fred said.

They just narrowed their eyes at each other. I heard someone laughing and I looked to see Cameron peeking into the kitchen.

"Cameron come here and help me" Grandma Marina said. Cameron's eyes widened. "How did you know I was here" Cameron asked.

"If you don't want to be noticed then don't laugh" She said. Cameron frowned and walked over. "What do need me to do?" Cameron asked.

"Y/n teach him how to chop these up" She said. As I showed him how to chop the vegetables up he rose his eyebrow.

"How can you chop those up like isn't that too hard for you?" He said. I slowly raised the knife. "No stabbing people no matter how much you want to in the kitchen!" Grandma Mae said.

"Next time" I signed. "Please don't I'm sorry" Cameron said. I gave him a side glance then nodded.

Cameron started chopping the vegetables. "Look I'm better than you" Cameron said." Grandma  Cameron sneezed just now" I signed.

"What get away from the food you said you weren't sick" Grandma Mae said. "No no I'm not!" Cameron said.

"Yes you are I can see it your paler than usual!" Grandma Mae said. "It's almost December so the sun isn't out that often!" Cameron said.

"Mmm Cameron go lay down" Aunt Ciara said while shaking her head. Cameron narrowed his eyes at me then coughed in my direction and wiped his nose on my shirt.

I looked at him eyes wid. "You too Y/n your infected now go! go!" Grandma Mae said while taking us over to the living room and making us lay down.

"Dinner will be at 5:00pm you'll be better by then" Grandma Mae said while patting our heads. I turned to Cameron and threw a pillow at him.

"Why'd you do that!?" I said. "You told Grandma I was sick! I'm not going down alone" Cameron said. I narrowed my eyes at him then turned around and crossed my arms.

"Y/n I'm sorry okay" Cameron said while shaking my shoulder. I ignored him. "Are you mad now?" Cameron asked.

I just stared at him in silence. "Okay fine" he said before taking his random notebook out and writing. I slowly peeked over his shoulder to see what he was writing but he moved away.

"What are you writing?" Zeke says while looking. "None of your business monkey boy" Cameron said while moving away from him.

"Monkey boy?🤨 that's a new one" Zeke said. "Baseball bitch is that one better?" Eren said while sitting down.

"You guys are all evil Y/n is the only good one here" Zeke said. "Just because she's not talking doesn't mean she doesn't hate you" Cameron said.

"I don't because I love everyone!" I signed while smiling. "Oh wow you switched up real quick because a second ago you were really mad" Cameron said.

"Why?" Eren asked. "He coughed on me and wiped his nose on my shirt!" I signed. "Because you told Grandma I was sick!" Cameron said.

I frowned. "I wasn't even mad I was sad because you betrayed me!" I signed. "You betrayed me too!" Cameron said.

I moved over to the other couch and went on my phone. "Your just upset that I'm right" Cameron said.

I stuck my tongue out at him. "That could never be me" Eren said while smiling. I threw a pillow at him.

"You guys need to stay in the same place no spreading germs okay" Aunt Ciara said while moving over to where Cameron was sitting.

I moved all the way to the other side of the couch. "Can I have some Advil mom Y/n's making me feel sicker" Cameron said.

"That makes no sense your the only person who was sick in the first place" I signed. "Oh I'm sorry I don't understand sign language" Cameron said.

"Stop it be nice and here" Aunt Ciara said while handing him a pill and water. I narrowed my eyes at him then laid down and turned away.

Cameron laid down and I kicked him. "Ow! what was that for!?" Cameron said. "You leg touched mine!" I signed.

"It literally brushed against the side of your leg are you joking?" Cameron said. "You still touched my leg!" I signed.

"You know what if anything you moved your leg so you could blame me for something!" Cameron said.

"No I didn't!" I signed. "What ever like I said I barely touched you" Cameron said. "Yeah well I barely felt it because your leg felt like a twig!" I signed.

He just furrowed his eyebrows and silently glared at me so I turned away and from him.

EREN'S POV

I got up in satisfaction and went to my room then called Mikasa and Armin. "Guys!" I said. "Yeah what's up" Mikasa asked.

"Woah you look excited what happened?" Armin asked. "Cameron and Y/n are mad at each other" I said while smiling.

"And how is that a good thing?" Armin asked. "Yeah aren't they like inseparable it's not that bad right?" Mikasa asked.

"Y/n got mad at him because his leg touched hers" I said. "Oh it's that bad" Armin said. "This could damage their relationship for life I know because it happened with my mom and her sister for a long while when they were young I mean the stories were bad" Mikasa said.

"Show us them now" Armin said. I went outside the room and downstairs to where Y/n and Cameron were and showed Armin and Mikasa.

"They aren't even going near each other" I said. "On thanksgiving too that means Christmas will be bad" Mikasa said.

"What ever" I said. Armin sighed. "You seriously need to see the damage" Armin said. "Maybe I guess" I said.
