I sat down on a bench in the park and went on my phone. 'It's almost 8 pm so I should start thinking about where I should go...' I thought.

'I mean probably home but for me I don't think that's a good option' I thought. One other thing I needed to worry about was food but I wasn't hungry right now

'I could go to the store in the morning but I only have about 20 dollars because I left all my money at home😐' I thought.

I stopped when someone sat down next to me. I pretended not to notice and just stared down at my phone.

'Well it's time to check the weather!😀' I thought. "What are you doing out here so late?" He asked.

I didn't respond and he lightly tapped my shoulder. I looked up. "I'm sorry I am deaf" I signed while smiling.

'Hopefully he leaves' I thought. "Oh what I asked was what you were doing here alone" He signed.

'I should've just walked away as soon as he sat down...' I thought. "I'm just resting" I signed. I looked at him closely.

'Okay he looks like he probably goes to the gym everyday and he has a scar above his eyes and tattoos on his neck and I assume he probably more.... he also has long hair that he can cut just in case I escape and tell the police his description... yeah I never would've made it 2 feet away from him anyway....' I thought.

"So are you heading home anytime soon?" He signed. "Yes" I signed. "Yeah well that's funny because a little birdy told me you were missing" He said.

I stopped. "Don't worry you're just gonna come with me and you'll be safe if your dad pays the bail" He said.

'BAIL!?' I thought eyes wide. I was about to run but he grabbed me and quickly took out a shot and injected something into my arm.

Not even a minute later I started to feel dizzy and soon passed out.

I opened my eyes to see I was in a room that looked like it belonged to a kid. I looked around and saw a door with a big lock on it.

I went over to it and started banging and kicking the door. "HEY!!" A voice suddenly called. I stopped and looked around but no one was there so I just kept jiggling the doorknob.

"HEY!! Stop it please!!" The voice yelled again. I stopped then looked around until my eyes stopped at the closet.

I went over and opened it to see a boy who looked around my age. "Don't bang on the door if you do they'll come in they can see everything..." He said.

"Who's they?" I signed. "Marz" He said. "Marz..." I mumbled. "Oh so you can talk" He said. I put my hand over my mouth.

"It's fine i-it's just that I was told that you don't talk to anyone..." He said. 'What else did they tell him...' I thought.

"What's your name?" I asked. "Kalani but you can just call me Kai" He said. "Okay can you tell me how we can get out of here?" I asked.

"There is no out of here this is where we stay" He said. "What? no" I said. "Yes do you see that camera" Kai asked while pointing to the corner or the room.

I looked to see there was a camera pointed straight in the area where they could see everything in the room.

"The last time I tried to do something they came in that's how I got this" He said while showing me a scar on his arm.

"I'm sorry... when I did that earlier I see why it scared you" I said. "It's fine" He said. "So how long have you been here?" I asked.

"2 years" He said. "What? but why?" I asked. "My family my dad they're after them because they want money... when they took me they asked for a bunch of money and told them they would give me back but then they kept asking for more..." Kai said.

"They lied to me" I said. "Yeah... but you just need to listen to them and you'll be fine" He said. I shook my head.

"You have to I-" He stopped when the door started to be unlocked. I went into the closet then closed the door.

"Y/n n-" I cut him off by putting my hand over his mouth. "Y/n! Kalani! come out I don't have time for this! you need to stay in view of the cameras!" A voice called.

I heard footsteps and rummaging until the closet door opened. I looked to see the a lady in all black.

"Come out now!" She yelled before pulling us out of the closet and closing the door. "Kalani! keep her in check or we're gonna have trouble! you don't want her to end up like you right?" She said.

"No" He said. "Good I bet less food will help you two learn now stay in view of the camera and don't get an ideas" She said before walking out and locking the door.

When we couldn't hear her foot steps outside the door anymore Kalani turned to me. "please don't do that again next time they come in we stay in the middle of the room" Kai said.

I nodded. It had been not that long later and they came into the room. "Y/n let's go" One of them said.

I went out of the room with them and they put a blind fold on me and walked me some where then took the blind fold off.

"You have 2 minutes" They said while sitting me down and putting a phone in front of me. I looked to see my dad.

"Y/n it's gonna be fine I'm gonna pay them! okay you'll be out soon!" He said. I shook my head. "Don't do it they're lying to you! they'll ask for more!" I signed.

"Y/n don't do anything okay" Dad said. "No! there's another person here with me they need help I'll get out just give me one more day!" I signed.

"Y/n I-" They came in and took the phone. "Times up" One of them said. "It's only been 1 minute!" I signed.

"You're going back!" Another one said before grabbing me. they put the blind fold on me again then walked me back to my room.

I sniffed the air on the way back and they put me back into the room and took off the blind fold then closed the door.

I put my ear of the door to listen to the footsteps walking away. "What happened?" Kai asked. "I called my dad he's gonna give them money but we're gonna escape" I said.

"No we can't I tried trust me" He said. "And how far did you get?" I asked. "I was outside but they've added advances since then" He said.

"Well you can tell me all about it while I pretend we're doing something else" I said.
