she smiled as she waved her goodbye to MinGyu's parents, still feeling regret for they'd volunteered to drive her back to the dorm after spending the night with them in Ansan, nonetheless still as grateful as ever.she let out a sigh, inserting the key into the lock, soon opening the door.
"it's so cold. gonna freeze my panocha off," she bitterly mumbled once she was inside, lightly shaking from the biting cold outside.
she heard a chuckle from behind her, the girl quickly turning around, a surprised oh my falling from her lips as she covered her mouth with her hands. her eyes scanned the figure for a second, letting out a scoff as she dropped her hands.
"you scared me.." she mumbled, before stomping towards Ni-Ki, slinging her bag at him.
he held his hands out as he laughed, blocking her hits. "sorry, sorry.. i just brought you a blanket since it's cold out," he managed to get out between his humoured sounds, the girl eventually stopping since she hadn't managed to hit her main target.
she sighed as she dropped her bag, Ni-Ki still letting out light giggles as he brought her closer to himself, wrapping the blanket around her body. he managed to get her hands to let go of the fists they'd formed, getting her to hold the blanket closer to herself.
he eventually let the girl be, NaRi staying in the same place for a moment before peeking around the corner, seeing a Christmas movie playing on the large screen, the boy sat on the couch, a small smile his face.
she quietly moved to the kitchen, grabbing a pot before pouring water into it.
a few ten minutes later, she had a pot of noodles made, now mixing the boy's favourite 자장면 sauce batter. she then mixed it all together in a bowl, hugging it close to her body as she scooted to the living room, placing the bowl, with two pairs of chopsticks, in front of the boy.
his eyes went from the bowl to her face, the ghost of a smirk on his lips. "for me?"
she curtly nodded, "and for me.. i barely ate with hyung's parents," she said, sitting beside him.his movie ended, Ni-Ki picking up the remote before choosing one they both loved— Home Alone.
a small smile appeared on her face as her eyes lit up in delight, looking at the boy who was already looking at her.
"what?" she asked, nervously playing with her fingers.
she didn't miss the way his eyes glimpsed at her lips, only for a second. he shrugged, leaning forward to pick up both pairs, handing one to the girl. "just," was all he said, leaving the girl's mind in a haze as he began eating.
the pair eventually focused on the movie before them, the two having made a bet: if Ni-Ki could go the entire film without the dyre need for subtitles, she'd do whatever he wanted.
her eyes would glance over to the boy she was laying on as the movie progressed, forcing her laughter down when something funny was said, just waiting for him to not understand.
but he always laughed. he laughed at the things that weren't considered to be that funny, but were still things her and the other fluent English speakers would laugh at because of their double meanings.
she didn't know whether to be grateful of his fluentness or to curse it.
eventually the movie came to its end, the boy looking down at the girl with a small smile on his face, fingers gliding through her soft hair.
"i think i won~" he teased, NaRi rolling her eyes in slight annoyance.
