NARI on her Boys & Skin Routines | Beauty Secrets | Vogue

"hi vogue, it's NARI from ENHYPEN!" the girl greeted the camera, her sleek bathroom in the background as she sported a floral silk sleep set. "today i'll be walking you through my everyday skincare secrets!" 

"every time we come to the us for schedules, someone has to take me to a sephora before we leave.. shopping for my holy grail products is a bit of a struggle in korea, so i make sure to take full advantage when i'm able to." she paused, holding up the first product, "my credit card hates me." 

she first held up her cleanser, "this is the AESTURA something something.. gentle pH-balancing foaming cleanser! i've been using this for.. six years or so? she has never done me wrong," she commented, putting the appropriate-sized amount into her hands and gently applying it after pinning her hair back with oversized styling pins. "if i have schedules and a full face of makeup, i'll use an oil-based cleanser before this one, but since i am bare-faced... that ain't necessary," the next clip showed her rubbing her face with a FOREO exfoliator, "have y'all watched YUNJIN's beauty secrets video? if not, she mentioned her mom bought her one of these scrubber.. things.. from Marshall's and sent it to her," she giggled, switching to the other side. "what she failed to mention was that her mom showed her when we were together, and asked if i wanted one too. now we both have super soft skin thanks to momma huh." 

she then patted her face with a clean, baby pink towel. "i realize you all may not be my usual audience, so i'll introduce myself as i go since i have quite a lengthy routine," she softly chuckled, then showing her toner pads. "these are the innisfree green tea enzyme... vitamin c brightening and exfoliating toner pads," she picked two out with small tweezers, carefully placing one on either cheek. 

"for those of you who don't know me, my name is Mireia NaRi Arredondo Kim, mostly known as Kim NaRi! i was born in New York in 2005, and was raised in LA before i moved to Korea at age... nine? so 2014-ish? i forgot, someone fact check me," she chuckled, softly rubbing the toner pads around before moving them to her forehead and chin. "i am half mexican and korean.. i have an older brother, his name is Kim Samuel, and he is also in the idol industry! i am blessed to be a member of boy group ENHYPEN.. boy group because there are seven boys and i am the only girl.... not in a 'im a part of the boys' way but in a 'everyone loved me on the show and wanted me to debut way'.. hehe," 

she removed the toner pads, rubbing the remaining essence into her skin before letting it breathe for a moment. "i never want to rush my routine, the products need time to actually work," she washed off her hands, "i love my boys dearly, we are the best of friends. i also got the chance to debut as a solo artist in 2022! people have always speculated why i chose to do that, especially questioning the timing of it happening," she said, silently referencing the explosive lawsuit that she initiated against their previous agency.  "but, i am here now to clear the air~ i never plan on departing from ENHYPEN, those boys all have my heart and we would honestly be torn if any one of us left the group. i chose to debut solo as a chance to express my personal style as an artist that can't be shown with groups and artists i produce for! NARI of ENHYPEN, NARI the soloist, and reiarr the producer are all very different, and i wanted to be able to show the differences without holding back. besides, the boys all have a say in what i release and show as a soloist, they've all had at least one duo song on my albums, too. so, i really couldn't get rid of them no matter how hard i try." she giggled again, now moving on to her next product. 

"for a serum i tend to alternate between two. i either use the Claudalie vinoperfect or the fresh lotus serums.. today i have a fresh opened, so i'll use that one~"  

"another thing I'm known for is having tons of friends in the industry," she paused, gently applying the toner. "to be a little honest~ i've always been called out for this reason, which is weird.. but i am very open about my friends so the boys can be more private about theirs. our ENGENE always point out how they know almost none of their friends, and that has sorta been my whole goal since the beginning - for the boys to have even a sliver of normalcy in this hectic life we get to live," she paused, softly smiling as she fanned at her face with her hands. 

"if you haven't figured it out already, i follow the typical korean skincare routine which is like 9 or 10 steps. next would be targeted treatments, but i don't have very acne prone skin, so i usually skip this step. next is eye cream for me~ which i do need because i love spoiling myself with consecutive all nighters in the studio," she gave a dry laugh, giggling for real afterwards. "I have been loving the dr. khiel's avocado eye cream," she put a small dot under each of her eyes, "it has soothed my dark circles so much, ugh i'm so grateful for this cause they would be so evident otherwise," she chuckled, very softly melting the cream into her skin with her ring fingers. 

"let's make this interactive~ what do you all like to do in your free time? personally, these days i've been watching anime again, also reading! i've been in a bit of a creative slump some days, so i've found myself creating private comfort spaces again," she grabbed the next product, her moisturizer. 

"i tried this cream out a few months ago and have really enjoyed it!" she held up the dieux instant angel lipid moisturizer, "it makes my skin su~per soft, 10 out of 10 recommend,"

the video was fast-forwarded as she finished applying her moisturizer, returning to normal speed once she brought out a mini handheld fan. "gotta let it dry of course," she softly smiled, trying to think of something else to discuss. "ah~ has this been entertaining to watch? i made this all about the kids again, didn't i?" she softly chuckled at herself, fans finding the nickname for the boys endearing, considering she was the second youngest. "you all can watch my solo content to get more of me, if you'd like," she giggled again, placing the fan down and reaching for her lip mask container. 

"i do a nighttime face mask once or twice a week, depending on how dry my skin gets. i did one yesterday, so we'll skip over those~" she untwisted the cap to the pink mini jar. "i said it's hard to get a lot of my products in korea, but almost my entire routine is korean, isn't it?" she laughed, unclipping the sides of her hair. "i guess i just like using my american credit card," she held up the product, showing the laneige lip mask. "the berry is my favorite scent of them all... i have a fully stocked collection at home," she softly grinned, cheeks softly puffing up. "i apply a super heavy layer every hour before i go to sleep, for all who wanted to know."

she closed the lip mask, fluffing out the sides of her hair as she smiled towards the camera. her hands raised to make a pose around her face, her nighttime routine finally coming to a close. "alright~ that was all for my typical night routine! hopefully you all loved this video so i can return and make a daytime routine and makeup video~" she teased, giggling once more afterwards.
