"That went well," Layla states sarcastically. We've just made it back to the headquarters and Atticus is currently carrying Reia back to her room since she's still out cold. Nothing to worry about, just exhaustion from the first time she's had to use her powers so excessively.
"That wasn't natural," Sorin mutters. I don't disagree with him, Reia shouldn't have been able to bring over two dozen guards to the ground looking as calm and unharmed as she did. Not that I would have preferred her getting injured.
"I guess the cat's out of the bag now. They know she's here and they know who's with her. At least one of the guards must have noticed us," Naria says. It's the first time I'm feeling something like doubt or regret as she thinks about the newest addition to our group. They're all doubting her.
"We should have killed her. Or at least let her have killed those guards. It'll cost us our heads, I'm telling you." Figures it's Layla talking about killing people again. What else is new?
