Brooklyn's P.O.V:
I'm woken up by being bounced in the air repeatedly and getting hit in the face with a pillow multiple times."Leave me alone," I mumble into my pillow, turning to face away from them.
"Wake up, Brooke, people are starting to show up and we need your help."
"No you don't, Josie."
"Get your lazy butt out of bed or I swear to god, Brooke, I will get you out personally and I don't think you'll like that," she says irritation evident in her voice.
"You can do whatever you want but I am not getting out of this bed."
"Let's just leave her be," another person says. "We can do it ourselves."
"I don't have time for this," she says and walks out of the room with the other person close at her heels. Five minutes later I hear heavy footsteps coming towards my room and my door open. The person comes into my room and walks towards my bed then sits down on it. The bed dipping.
"Brooke, come on, wake up," Asher says putting a hand on my back. "Your sister needs help with figuring out who rooming with who and you're better at organizing things than she is apparently."
"I'll be down in five minutes," I mumble. I clumsily get out of bed and go into the bathroom that's connected to my bedroom. I quickly brush my hair and put it in a messy bun. Walking into my room I change into yoga pants and a long-sleeved knitted shirt, too lazy to try and get a better outfit on. Grabbing a pair of socks on the way out of my room. I hop down the hall, trying not to fall over while putting them on. Successfully getting them on, I walk down the stairs into the living room where I see about ten people, none of them the regular group, standing around talking to each other. I walk through the throng of people into the kitchen and finally see my friends. They look up from the papers on the table when I walk in.
"You look like shit," Blair says bluntly.
"Thank you," I say dryly. "So have you guys come up with at least a little part of a plan? Or are you leaving it to me to figure out?" Josie smiles shyly and the rest of the group doesn't say anything. "Figures," I mumble. "Give me that darn paper."
"There are about 300 that we know of that are coming so far, not including the people from my town," Max says handing it to me. "And we should plan that a lot more will be coming." I look at it and see that there are people from all around the world that are coming to help us out.
"How many places do we have to put all these people?" I ask looking up at them.
"Well, we all have rooms at our houses that we can have people stay at. Max has about 30 rooms available and we have some connections with people who own hotels, so there's always that option but with that comes the money for all the rooms, so we should keep that to a minimum. All in all, we have about 48 rooms available," Josie says.
"Not enough," I say shaking my head. "That's about seven people per room." I look up at them. "Unless you guys could stay at Asher's, David's, or Jordan's house and Josie and I shared a bedroom. That would open about 10 rooms up. But that still be about six people to a room. And that's not including the people that have yet to tell us they're coming ." They look at me crazily.
"How the crap does she do that all in her head?" Daniel asks surprised.
"She's really good at doing math in her head," Josie says shrugging.
"What if we asked other sups in the area if people could stay with them?" asks Luna.
I think for a moment. "It could work. Theres about..." I pause for a moment trying to figure how many sups there are in town "20 or so here. If each one had two rooms available there would be three in each room. And if we had to, there would be places for more people who come. Let's try and put as many people in our houses as we can without causing problems before putting them in others. Josie, why don't you start contacting people and see who will house people and who won't. I'm going to go get the people in the living room settled." I walk back into the living room and give them to directions to Max's house where they will be given rooms that they can stay in. It's about to get really crazy here, I think to myself falling onto the couch.
----------------------------
It's been two hours and Josie finally finished contacting everyone in town. It turns out that there are about 30 families scattered around town and 25 of them will let people stay with them. Everyone in our group is in the living relaxing while we still can. Either we're watching the T.V. show or we're talking. We're mostly talking. The boys about sport, like usual, and the girls about some new T.V. series that we're interested in. We haven't talked about the dance that's tonight. I think the reason that we don't want to talk about it is because then we're all reminded that we can't go because once again, some paranormal thing came up.We're just about to put in a movie when all of our parents come in and crowd around in front of the T.V. The moms with their hands on their hips or across their chest and dads just standing there with blank faces. Josie and I look at each other. Uh oh, parents ganging up. This is never good. I say. They stand there for a few minutes just staring at us and we stare back. Finally one of us speaks up.
"Are you going to just stand there or are you guys going to talk?" Luna asks.
My mom is the one to answer. "We have all come to an agreement. We are taking over the planning." We look at them like they've all grown two heads.
"What?" asks Violet.
"Only for tonight," Charlotte-Max's mother- says. "We figured you guys should be able to go to the dance and not have to worry about the big fight with the hunters for a night. You should be able to act like regular teenagers your age."
"Thank you?" Nyssa says.
"Why are you still here! You have a dance to get ready for!" Eli's mom says with exasperation. We get up, the guys heading over to Landon's house while the girls head to Josie and I's rooms to get ready. Looking at the clock I see that we have an hour and a half to get ready. I can totally be done with time to spare, not so sure about the others.
1 hour later
Everyone is ready and gathered in our living room except for Nyssa, -who had to do all of our hair because we suck at it and Jordi who helped with the make-up. We all look awesome if I do say so myself. All the guys look dashing in their tuxes.Luna is wearing navy blue dress that has a slit up her left leg. It's cut a little low in the front. Nyssa left Luna's wavy hair down. The dress kinda makes her look like the badass that she is. Blair is wearing a dress with a sweetheart neckline. It's dark on the top with sparkles, a little lighter gray part that wraps around her stomach, then fans slightly, making the bottom of the dress flowy and a lighter gray color. She decided to put her hair up in a bouffant bun. Jordi is probably the most stunning out of all of us. She's wearing a white floor length dress that has a sweetheart neckline and crystals that wrap around her midsection. Nyssa curled her hair, put it in a side messy bun leaving a few ringlets to frame her face, and had two braids creating headbands. Violet is wearing a royal blue, floor length, simple wide strap chiffon and satin dress. Deciding to wear a simple yet pretty dress. She created a headband with a fishtail braid and curled her hair. Nyssa is wearing a floor length sweetheart cross back dress that starts as a dark aqua color then gets lighter. For her hair she put it up in a messy fishtail. Josie is wearing a dark purple a-line empire waist sweetheart floor length chiffon ruffled dress. Nyssa helped her put her hair up in crossover braid. Lastly, I'm wearing a red version of Josie's dress. I know we're mostly matching. I put my hair up in a thick side dutch braid which then turned into a bun at the nap of my neck. I left some hair to frame my face.
When we went downstairs into the living and the guys saw us their jaws dropped. Seriously, they were gaping at us, it was pretty funny. For once they were speech less. I notice that Asher's tie matches the color of my dress. Looking over at Eli I see that he found the exact color I told him that Josie's dress was. I nudge Josie and nod my head at Asher. She smiles and shrugs before walking over to Eli.
"Okay, everyone huddle together. I want to get a picture," my mother says. There's grumbling around the room but we stop when she gives us a look that just screams 'do it or I will make your lives a living hell'. We huddle together in front of the fireplace. It was twenty minutes later before she decided she was finally done and we were piling into our cars quickly so we wouldn't be extremely late.
