Chapter 60

My Boyfriend's Back by Paris Bennett

Mary's P.O.V.:

Landon's been trying to stay close to me at all times but in a fight like this it's almost impossible. He's doing quite well though, I know he's been watching my back by taking out anybody that comes up behind me before they can get me. It kinda makes me feel bad because I was being a witch earlier and now he has to watch me.

I hear a thud from behind me and turn around to see someone with a knife sticking out of their back. Looking up I see Landon lowering his arm, I give a quick nod in thanks and turn back around. I block a right hook going for my side and quickly retaliate with a kick to the back of the girls knee. I quickly knock her out and move to help another girl fight the group of hunters around her.

I push up off the ground and look to see where Landon has gone. He's slowly making his way towards me and once he's only a few feet away his eyes shift to the left. We connect eyes and I can see that he needs to do something. I give him a quick smile in understanding and we starts moving in the direction that he looked in.

"Well if it isn't my dear little sister, Mary." I hear from the right. Shannon. I turn to her with a smile on my face. She has a smirk on her face and her arms crossed over her chest making it easy to see the gun on her hip and other various weapons. "I have to hand it to you, Mary, you never looked liked you could hurt a fly let alone person. We're just like each other if you know what I mean."

"No, I don't know what you mean." I say grabbing the last knife I was given and clutching it. "And I'm nothing like you."

She laughs a little and says, "Oh but you are." I glare at her. "To bad I'm gonna have to kill you." She says and charges at me. I don't have a chance to move out of the way and we go falling to the ground. We roll around the ground before we run right into a tree. While I'm recovering from getting my head knocked against the rough bark she takes the opportunity to get on top of me and start punching my face. I raise my arms trying to block them but it seems to be useless. I bring my leg up under her and kick her off. She falls back a few feet and I scramble up to my feet, she stands up and glares at me. I look around for a weapon but when I come up empty I decide to run back into the tree hoping that one of the teams back there can help.

I can hear Shannon behind me as a try not to trip and bash my face in. Instead of tripping and falling though I fall down due to the fact that she threw a knife striking me in the shin. I cry out as I pull it out and put my hand over the wound trying to stop the blood flow. I lean against a near by try and look up at Shannon who's stalking closer.

"I always hated you," She says once she get's a few feet away pulling out a dagger. I stand up and lean against the tree. If I'm going to die I don't want to die without a fight. "Always seen as perfect and nice even when you didn't try." She throws a punch at my stomach but once again I'm not fast enough to block it. " And I definitely won't miss you after we kill you and all your friends." I scramble back a few feet scattering a few leaves and then trip over a tree root falling down again. I hear grunting and growls coming from behind and figure I came upon another group.

"Mary?" I turn my head a little and see a confused and worried Landon. I don't get the chance to say anything because Shannon decides to strut out of the trees.

"Well what do you know, my sister fell in love with a supernatural and the celestial kitsune to," the she-devil says. I look at Landon with a questioning look but he seems surprised too. "Oh what's this you didn't tell her? Well that's probably going to cause some problems but it won't matter in a few seconds." She laughs. Landon glares at her a ball of light forms in his hand. Well I think it light for all I know it could be fire or something like that. "Do you know you're the only celestial left after your parents were killed? I will say this you made it hard to find you, if you hadn't

come here we wouldn't have found you." She takes a step closer and Landon makes it so he's standing over me. "So noble."

Before she can fully finish the word Landon's throwing a ball of light at her.

So it's been a while since we updated and I don't have an excuse as why it's been a month. But this chapter I didn't work on for a while and when I came back today I realized that it could be a finished chapter so I updated it. Hopefully since we are into the school year our schedules won't be so hectic.
