Chapter 8

Side: Red Hands by Walk Off The Earth

Brooke's P.O.V:

Ty snuck back to Josie and I and we high-fived him. It was then that the others realized that the movie had been decide without them.

"Wha-"

"How did you-"

"Aww man they did it again" Jordi whined. "Darn kid gets us every time."

I snicker. " Suckers! Beaten by a kid."

"That's not fair he's like a ninja," whines Logan.

The movie was just starting when Nyssa yells "I'll make the popcorn!"

"No. I will."

"Why can't I?"

"Because last time you made the popcorn you burnt it."

"That was 2 months ago."

"Nyssa that was last week."

"Wait how do you burn popcorn" Landon asks.

"Landon, we do not question the way Nyssa does things, we just don't let her do it again."

"I'll volunteer to help Nyssa with the popcorn."

"Awesome just keep a close eye on her... and the popcorn."

With that Nyssa, Josie, and Ty left the room.

Natalie was already enthralled with the movie and didn't even acknowledge that her brother left.

20 minutes and three rounds of popcorn in the microwave later they finally came back with three big bowls of popcorn.

"No matter how much you watch her she still manages to burn it," Josie says while shaking her head. This lead to Ty giggling and Nyssa glaring at the both of them.

1 hour later

The movie has ended and somewhere during it Ty fell asleep on Landon, making him look really awkward may I just say, and Natalie was asleep on my lap.

Everyone said their goodbyes. While Landon helped us clean up. Once we had cleaned up he said goodbye and headed home. Josie and I got ready for bed real quick before Mrs. Greenberg came to pick up the two cuties downstairs.

At 11 the doorbell rang and I got up to answer.

"Mrs. Greenberg you could have stayed out later."

"I know dear but we figured you two would be tired and want to get rid of the two monsters we call our kids."

"We love your kids. They're such sweethearts and our parents wouldn't mind if they stand over for the night."

The next thing I know two kids come bounding to the front door and tackle Mrs. Greenberg. We talk for a few more minutes before she says goodnight.

I go upstairs and climb in to bed, grab my phone and start Spotify. I smile as one of my favorite songs starts playing, Red Hands.

"I know that I messed up a few times or watcha wanna call it,

I know if I fell down, you'd change the way that I saw it,

I put it on the line for this time only,

Is that what you really want,"

Before I knew it I fell asleep.

Since we are feeling generous today and we were asked to do more we decided to update today and not wait till Wednesday.
