Violet's P.O.V.:
One second it was quiet and the next total chaos had erupted. Hunters were fighting against shapeshifters, werewolves, fairies-not the little ones like tinkerbell-, witches, and elementals. Quite frantically you wouldn't have been able to tell who's who if it weren't for the hunters wearing alot of black and weapons.
I run into the mass throwing fireballs and simple spells that immobilize the enemy. As I get further into the fighting a see a group of people with bottle of liquid and as they throw them I realize that one they have witches and two they're using very powerful potions- ones that would take days or months to make.
"Try and destroy the potions before they reach one or the ground!" I yell to my team of witches and wizards. But it seems like our efforts are useless no matter what we do most of them reach the ground. Blowing up and injuring those around it or setting things on fire.
There are bodies littering the ground- some dead and others injured. Throughout the clearing you can hear guns going off, metal against metal, snarling, and people crying out. But you can clearly see that we are winning and the hunter's numbers are dwindling.
All the sudden the potions that the hunter's witches have started exploding before they are even used. Through the chaos I see a glimmer and realize that Charlotte and someone else are blowing them up in the middle of the group. The witches and some the hunters surrounding them stopped and turn to where Charlotte is. She drops the glamour surrounding her and I see Josie was the one blowing up the potions, they stand back to back in fighting positions. The witches and hunters attack and Josie starts freezing them in their spots.
I feel a sharp pain in my leg and see a chinese throwing knife sticking out of it. Pulling out I throw it to the first hunter I see and nail them in the chest. I feel the air change around my head I quickly dunk nearly missing the kick someone was throwing towards it. I grab a knife on my leg and start fighting the person, while making sure Josie and Charlotte don't get overcome.
I've been fighting the same person for five minutes now and it just seems like I can't get a good hit on them. I hear a strangled cry and look to my left and see a girl being stabbed in the stomach, swiftly I throw my dagger and turn back to my own battle. But it's too late my feet are kicked out from under me and I land on the ground with a thud. Without wasting a second he's on me strangling me. I try to push him off me but my attempts are useless and I'm quickly losing my strength. Just as I'm about to pass out the weight on my chest is gone and I flip to my side and gasp for breath. I look behind me and see a white and black pepper colored wolf ripping my attacker's throat out.
The wolf runs over and nudges my side. I roll over to my back and sit up slowly. He whines and licks a part on my arm that you can see through a cut in my shirt.
"Violet, I need you to move to back to where Brooke and her team is. I want you to try and create some sort of barrier between the edge of the forest and house, so if someone get's past them there's that," Josie says.
"People are getting into the forest?" I ask standing up.
"Not yet, Brooke's team have taken them down but it's just another precaution," she respond.
"Okay." I turn to where the twin's house should be and start slowly making my way, fighting off people when ever I need to. Finally, I get to the edge of the fighting and start running through the tree, dodging low branches and fallen logs on the way. As I start getting close to where Brooke is I hear footsteps running behind me and without looking back I slam the person into a tree. I hear a thud and smile but it's wiped off immediately once I hear a familiar wine. I skid to a stop and turn around.
"Oh crap," I say and run over to the black and white wolf from earlier. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry" I kneel down next to it and am about to touch it when it growls. I jump to my feet and take a few steps back.
"Violet where are you?" Brooke asks.
"I'm on my way I just had to take care of something," I respond back.
"Hurry, more are coming our way."
"Okay okay I'm coming," I say back and cut the connection. "Okay what do I do, what do I do," I mumble looking around the woods and then back at the wolf. "Okay Violet you can do this, just use your powers and don't touch him." I concentrate on it and it starts to float in the air.
"I'm on my way don't shoot at me please," I say to Brooke. I start running again and make it to the edge of the trees in a few minutes with the wolf trailing behind me in the air.
"Violet, what are you doing here you're supposed to be fighting," Jordi says when she sees me. "and why is a wolf levitating in the air behind you?"
"Josie wants me to make a barrier and I kinda knocked him into a tree because I thought he was a hunter and now he's unconscious," I say sheepishly. I set him on the ground next to me and Jordi comes over to the wolf. "Yeah I wouldn't do that if I were you he growled at me when I went to touch him." She nods and walk back to where Logan is.
I lift my hands in the air and concentrate on making a barrier. Everything around me disappears, the wind, the smell of earth, the sound of birds, insects, and the faraway sound of fighting. I feel a cool feeling go through my arms and I can tell that the barrier is starting to appear. After I few minutes I feel both edges connect and I drop my arms to my side.
"It's done," I pant to Josie and Brooke. "You do know that everyone is stuck on the side that their on now right?"
"Yes but it's better than nothing," Josie says. I shrug and go sit down next to the wolf. I hear a groan from next to me and when I look over I don't see the black and white peppered wolf but a tan guy our age with chestnut brown hair.
"Violet? What are you doing?" I turn around to see David standing behind me with bottles of water.
"Oh you know just running through the forest, creating a barrier, and acting cool while doing it," I say, I nod my head to a water bottle. He tossing me one and I take a few gulps before tossing it the the guy that's still laying on the ground next to me.
"What's he doing here?" He says nodding to him.
"I may or may not have knocked him out," I say to him.
"You might as well just sit back down," I say to the brown haired guy. "You can't do anything right now."
"What do you mean all I need to do is go back to the clearing," he says as he starts walking to the tree line. He doesn't get far before he's thrown backwards onto his back next to me. He looks back at the trees before looking at me.
"It's a barrier so no one can get out of the woods," I say leaning back on my elbows and looking at the sky.
"How can you be so calm? Our friends and families are out there fighting for their lives and you're just sitting here without a care in the world!" He yells standing up in front of me.
"And you don't think I know that?! I want to be out there as much as you do probably more, so don't go yelling at me like that when I'm just following orders!" I shouted standing up as well. He took a step back surprise written over his face. I look around the backyard to see everyone frozen and looking at us. "I'm sorry that was harsh," I whisper and walk into the house to get a snack real quick before seeing what I can help with.
