Josephine's P.O.V.:
I groan as i sit up placing my hand on my pounding head.
"Logan said not to sit up," I hear to my left.
"What?" I say squinting to see the person sitting next to me through the blurriness.
"Loga said not to sit up," he says as if he's talking to a five year old. A hand is placed on my shoulder and I'm push back down. "You have a concussion and your head is going to be hurting for a while. I'm supposed to give these to you." Two small pills are placed in my hand and a bottle of water.
"And how do I know you aren't tricking me?" I say squinting back at the figure. Slowly my vision is going back to normal but i still can't make out the physical features of the man standing in front of me. Once my vision is back to normal I see Eli standing next to me and I face palm in my head. How did I not recognize his voice? Stupid, stupid, stupid. I gulp down the disgusting pills and sit back.
"Where is everyone?" I ask looking up at him.
"The last thing I knew they were in the house. But I told them to go see something out there so they're probably with the loud group," he says.
"Brooke?"
"She's okay, she's getting hugged to death by Asher," he says as he sits on the edge of the green cot.
"I bet she loves that." We sit in silence for a few minutes, the loud talking dims then get's loud again and the tent flap opens.
"I told you, Asher, a thousand times already I'm fine." Brooke says as she walks.
"Yeah you're totally fine," sarcasm drips from Asher's voice as he closely follows her. "People who are fine don't wince every time they make sudden movements." Brook makes a face and quietly mimics him. She looks around the tent and smiles when she sees me. Walking up to us to opens for a hug and I roll my eyes but still comply.
"You and your hugs," I whisper in her ear. She quietly laughs and pulls away.
"How you feeling?" She asks.
"Fine, have a little headache but that's slowly going away." She nods her head and signals for me to move over. I look behind her at Asher and I can see the worry written all over his face.
"Actually would you two getting me some food and something to drink," I say to her and Eli. Brooke looks at Eli and shrugs her shoulder and walks out the tent. Asher goes to follow but I stop him. "Asher you stay with me. I need to talk with you."
"Ummm okay?" He awkwardly sits down of the cot next to me and I slowly sit up.
"How bad?" I say looking at him seriously. He just looks at me quizzingly. I roll my eyes. "How bad is she hurt. We both know she won't say anything till everyone else is taken care of."
His eyes light up with recognition and he says, " I don't know. All I know is that she winced jumping onto the counter, which I thought was because of all the bruises I could see, and then when she jumped down she winced and held her head for a few seconds. Then she acted like nothing was wrong after that."
"Regina did kick her in the head," I say thoughtfully. "I don't know what type of injuries she got before that. Let's try to get Logan to check her out at some point." He nods his head. Laughing is heard when the flap opens and we look up to see the gang with Brooke and Eli. Violet pushes through everyone, who is now just hanging half inside and half outside the tent, and sits down next to Asher. A man blue eyes and swooped hair quietly follows behind and stands behind her. I look between the two, smile, and fold my arms over my chest.
"How you doing? Heard you got beat up pretty hard," she says.
"Been better," I say shrugging my shoulders.
She nods and says, "Well we have Shannon and some other dude in custody. He was really stuck-up and was really determined not to be locked away too. Brooke quickly ruined that dream."
I smile, "Smart ass comment?"
"Smart ass comment," she says nodding her head.
"Well I just wanted to catch you up on a few things," she stands up. "If you don't mind I will be heading home and getting some sleep." She pulls me into a guy and leaves the tent, her shadow following close behind.
"When did that happen?" I ask looking at Asher. He laughs.
"That is a complicated but funny story," he says.
"Isn't everything?" Logan comes over and checks on me, during which I repeatedly say I'm fine but still get prodded.
"Well you're free to go," he says as he finishes.
I roll my eyes and grumble, "I would have left with or without your permission."
"Logan, would you mind checking Brooke?" Asher says as he stands up. Logan nods his head and Asher leads him over to Brooke which leads to a lot of hand waving. As Brooke and Asher battle it out Logan slowly gets more uncomfortable and starts to inch away from the two before getting pulled back by Asher.
I slowly get up and push through the group. It takes a few minutes of pushing through the groups still in my backyard before I even reach the door to go inside and at that point I just want to collapse and go to bed. I stop for a few seconds and sigh. I jump as a hand is placed onto my lower back and I whip around only to see Eli.
"Typical," I murmur. I turn back around and open the door. Eli follows me up the stairs and into my room. He closes the door as I fall face first onto my bed and kick of my shoes. The end of the bed dips and his hand is placed once again on my back. He doesn't say anything and soon I have fallen asleep
