Mary's P.O.V.:
I stare at the front of the door for a few minutes in shock, before turning around and slowly walk to my car. After opening the door I throw my purse into the passenger seat and get in, still a little shocked. What is going on that sent everyone into a frenzy? Who's here? And why does it seem like the teenagers are in charge of everything? Whatever it is.
I hear feet slapping on concrete and look up to see a boy from my math class, Greyson. Now that I think of it I have seen him hanging around the group a lot recently. Greyson heads around the house looking as frantic as everyone else. Oh whatever I'm going to investigate, no matter what Landon said, I think. I grab my coat and the small knife that my father made me have in my car incase of an emergency.
Quickly, I sneak around the side of the house to the backyard. Once I can see the backyard I notice that only a small group of about 10 people are still there and are setting up what looks to be medical supplies. When no one is in the backyard I sprint to where there are a few more weapons and grab more knives. Hey, I'm not going there defenseless and I know how to fight... somewhat. Thank you, dad. I hear the door opening behind me and I sprint into the forest, hopefully heading in the direction that everyone else went in.
