Brooklyn's P.O.V.:
I watch the knife flip through the hair and land in Regina's back. She falls to ground the ground, blood coming out of her mouth and I know she's dead. I hear a whimper come from my sister and look up in time to see her body go limp.
"Shit," I whisper. I run towards her and pick her up. "Violet I need you to deactivate the force field." I turn to the left and start running towards my house.
"But the battle is still going on," Violet says confusion in her voice.
"I know that but Josie is hurt."
"Crap," she whispers. "Okay I'm taking it down."
I dodge trees and roots sticking out of the ground but don't care about how I'm being hit in the face by low hanging branches. After a few minutes of running the house comes in view and I sigh. Running into my backyard I call out for Logan. He comes running from the house and picks Josie up out of arms. Once she's in his arms he quickly walks to one of the beds set up and sets her down. I follow after him shaking out my arms that hurt from carrying my one hundred twenty pound sister.
"Brooke what happened?" he asks me calmly as he starts checking her vitals.
"I don't know I was knocked out for the better part of the fight between her and Regina. But I think she hit a tree pretty hard," I say shaking my hands out and tucking the pieces of hair, that fell out of the ponytail, behind my ear. "What can I do to help?"
"Nothing for right now. The others are in the house, I'm sure they would like to have an update especially Asher," he says not looking up from Josie. I hesitantly nod my head and turn away, running my hands down my face.
"Charlotte, how's it going out there?" I say through the com system.
"We're doing good. There are hurt people of course but it seems like the hunter groups number are dwindling," she says sounding exhausted.
"Thank you," I say ending the conversation. I walk up the back patio steps and into the kitchen, where I find Asher, Mary, Jordan, David, Violet, and some other guy sitting around the table. Mary notices me first and stands up.
"Hey, what happened?" She asks, making everyone else look to who she is talking to.
"We fought Regina and won but Josie got hurt in the process," I say. "Logan's working on her now. Where's Eli?"
"They're still out there. They dropped Mary off here and went back to the clearing," Violet says. I nod my head and look at the one person I don't know in the room.
"I'm sorry but who are you?" I ask.
"Oh right I'm Ian," he says shifting awkwardly. I nod my head and jump onto the counter, wincing from the cuts and bruises all over my body. Asher comes up to me and takes me in a bone crushing hug.
"Asher, as much as I love being hugged can you please let go I can't breathe," I say into his shoulder. I feel him shake his head, his nose tickling my neck but he loosens his hold a little.
"They're so cute together," I hear Mary whisper.
"Yeah, can't wait till I can have that," Violet says.
"Stop encouraging him." I say. We start to hear loud talking and some yelling coming from the backyard. Not a second later Eli comes running into the house and skidding to a stop in front of us.
"It's over but there's something we want you to see," he says out of breath. He looks around the room and looks at me. "Where's Josephine?"
"She's with Logan," I say after a second.
"Why?" he asks suspicion in his voice.
"Okay fine, she got hurt and Logan's taking care of her," I say. Immediately his face fills with worry and he's running back out of the house and down the patio steps to where all the medical supplies and people are.
"I guess we should go check out whatever had him so hyped up," I say untangling Asher's arms from around me and jumping off the counter. Just the impact of that brings pain to my head. I groan and hold my temples.
"Brooke?" Asher says, his voice filled with worry. Even after she died Regina is still causing problems for us.
"I'm fine." I say straightening up.
"No, you're not." he says and before I can protest he picks me up and carries me out the door.
"Put me down!" I yell but he ignores me. I start hitting my fits against his chest.
"You know this would be a lot easier if you would stop hitting me and if you weight less," he says. I only hit him harder. He walks to the big group of people standing in a circle and starts pushing through the mass to get to what's in the middle that everyone is looking at. Once Asher maneuvered through the crowd we see two people holding Shannon's and an older man's arms behind their back. Asher reluctantly sets me on the ground but wraps an arm around my waist.
Charlotte comes up from behind us and says, "We found him sneaking away once the group of hunters dwindled down to about 10." The man looks up at us and glares.
"Just because you have killed everyone here does not mean that we won't keep coming for you," he sneers.
"Yes but it will delay you," I say taking a step closer. He spits at me. "You know for an older man you are very childish. Anyways we aren't going to kill you two, we're just going to lock you up till we can figure out what to do with you." I shrug my shoulders and turn away.
He laughs, "You really think that we are going to let you take us and lock us up?" I roll my eyes at that, this guy is so annoying and so cheesy.
"Well unless one of your teeth is actually a cyanide pill and before you die you say hail Hydra, yes I think you are," I say half facing him. I signal to Charlotte to take them away and I make my way through the crowd.
