Josephine's P.O.V
"So umm...Josie...I was wondering if you had a date to the dance on Friday?" Eli's words are slightly muffled from him hiding his face. It's adorable. I am kind of upset that it took him so long to ask though, so I don't say anything, letting him get nervous. Just when he looks about ready to give up and walk away, I reply.
"Took you long enough." He raises his face to look at me and I smile. His face breaks out in a smile as well, obviously relieved that I said yes. I'm getting ready to speak again when another voice speaks up.
"Am I interrupting something?" I turn around with wide eyes at the voice I've become very familiar with over the last two weeks. "I guess so...I just got to the house and-" I jump up from the ground.
"FUDGE! How in the hell did you get out?!" Eli stands up as well, then waves his hand and Keiran goes ridged.
"Was that really necessary?" he asks. I snicker. Ha ha, sucker just got frozen. "This isn't funny, Princess." PRINCESS!!! HOW DARE HE! While I stand fuming, Eli speaks up for the both of us and answers Keiran's first question.
"Yes it was necessary you freakin a******, you're a murderer!"
"NO I'M NOT!" I'm shocked. Not as much by what he said, but how he said it. In the last two weeks, not a single one of us heard him raise his voice. Not to mention he sounds kind of hurt.
" Yeah, sure. And I'm an unicorn." Eli says dryly. Keiran's nostrils flare. But before he can do anything that will get him into more trouble than he already is with our group I intervene.
"Back to what Eli said before, how did you get out, Keiran?" I ask.
"I picked the lock." He says with a shrug.
"I told you guys not to put him in a room that had a key hole on the inside but did you listen to me noooo." I say to no one in particular.
Keiran laughs, "Should have listen to your soulmate, dude. Although if you had I wouldn't have been able to tell you what I want to tell you."
"Wait, how do you know that we are soulmates?" I say a little surprised. He shrugs.
"You knew that we were soulmates and you didn't tell me! For months now I have been thinking of ways to confront you about it and you knew!" Eli says. I smile sheepishly.
"I've known for about a year or two. But right now isn't the time to talk about this, we need to come up with what we are going to do with him." I say, nodding my head in Keiran's direction.
"We could knock him out, tie him up, then lock him in your basement." Eli suggests.
"There are two flaws in your plan, buddy. One: you just told me what you would do, not smart. Second: I would still escape. My specialty is escaping from things, no matter what it is." Keiran butts in. "And like I said I need to talk to your group about something so you can tie me up and lock me in the basement if you want, but I think you want to hear want I have to say." I look over at Eli and shrug. His eyes widen.
"You're not actually going to listen to him are you?!"
"If he wanted to kill us he would have by now." I say. I motion for Keiran to follow me to the Landon's house and take my phone out of my back pocket.
Me: Change of plans. Meet at Landon's house.
Brooke: Why?
Me: A friend of ours needs to talk to us.
Landon: We'll be there in 10.
Brooke: Be there in 5.
