Chapter 24

Nyssa's P.O.V:

The twins run past me yelling "Regina's escaped!" How the heck did she escape? I share a look with Violet then take off after the twins. They're in a complete frenzy. Talking so fast and over each other you can't even tell what they're saying. They may be our leaders but they can seriously go crazy sometimes. At least this is when they usually come up with an idea. Everyone just stays back and lets them at it.

"Does this usually happen." Landon asks.

"Sometimes. Not often though. Thank god." Eli says.

"I've never seen them like this. Of course this has something to do with the paranormal side." Asher says.

David sighs "HEY!! This is not the time for you guys to go crazy! We need to find Regina!" At this everything goes quiet.

"Sorry." They whisper at the same time.

"First off. How did she get away?" I ask Landon.

"My dad said that someone came and busted her out."

"But how did they know where to find her? We didn't even know where she was." Violet says.

"See that's what my parents are confused about because no one except for them know where the cell is... Or so they thought."

"No one did know." Brooke says with a thoughtful look on her face.

"What do you mean, Brooke?" I ask.

"We've all heard that some hunters have trackers on them."

"What are you saying?" Asks David.

"She's saying that Regina has a tracker and must have activated it." Josie answers.

Brooke shrugs her shoulders."It makes sense. Especially if Regina has some sort of title with them. They wouldn't want to lose one of their best men."

"We still need to find her though." Logan says.

Brooke snorts "We're not going to find them. They're half way across the state if they're smart."

"What so you just want us to stay here and drop it." Josie says.

"That's what I'm saying. Anyway if they are still here we still won't find them. Regina had been living with us for a year before we found out that she was a hunter. And that's only because she wanted us to find her."

I sigh "She's right. We're not going to find her. Better off training for the fight we know is going to happen." Everyone nods their head and starts walking inside... Well almost everyone. Josie and Brooke walk a little closer to the woods to talk in private. Before I can go over there Violet grabs my arm and drags me inside. When the door closes I hear the doorbell go off and glance at everyone else, who look just as confused.

"Who could be at the door? Mrs.Greenberg isn't suppose to be here for a few more hours." Asher starts reaching for the door handle but Eli grabs his hand.

"We don't know who it is. For all we know it's another hunter."

"It might not be." He says before he opens the door to find a handsome boy who looks around our age.

"Uuhhh. Sorry I must be at the wrong house." The boy says. He starts to walk back down the walk.

"Wait." I say "Who are you looking for?"

"Josephine and Brooklyn Anderson. I was told they lived here."

"Why are you looking for them?"

"My name is Max, my family lived two towns over and we were attacked by hunters. I was told that they might help me." Eli tells Asher to go get the twins. He motions for Max to follow him into the living room. During this I'm standing there staring at Max. I don't know why but I'm attracted to this guy and I just met him.
