Josephine's P.O.V:

As my sister and the rest of the group split off to go to their classes I stood with Landon in the hall.

"English with Mrs. Moreno eh?" I asked him. "Lucky you, I have that class too. I'll show you the ropes,"

"Uh oh," he said, glancing at the clock.

"Wha" DING DING DING "Yeah, uh oh is right. Hey at least you have a good reason to be late, me...not so much. I guess we can blame it on how far English class is from the office."

Landon smiled.

"Yeah lets go with that," he said, then looked down at his shirt.

"Hmm I forgot about that. You look about Eli's size though. Come on," And with that we began to jog down the hallways. It's a good thing Eli's locker is on the way. I pulled Landon to a stop in the middle of the hallway.

"There it is," I said dramatically "your salvation." He looked at me weird but I just walked up to a locker and put in the combination. It popped open and I handed Landon the jacket that I knew would be in there. I've got to say that the black leather jacket looked pretty good over top of his red sweater.

"Whose is this?" Landon asked suspiciously

"It's Eli's," I reply "as long as you give it back he'll be fine with it."

"Is he a biker dude or something?"

"Nope, he just thinks it makes him look awesome, now come on we have a class to get to."

Mrs. Moreno glared at the door as we opened it and walked into class.

"Where have you been Miss Anderson? And who is this?"

"This is Landon, Mrs. Moreno. It's his first day here and couldn't find his way to the office, so I helped him, then it took forever to get here because the office is on the other side of the school."

"I see. Landon don't do it again and Josephine you're off the hook because this is the first time you've been tardy," Moreno turned to the class and continued on with the lesson that our arrival had interrupted.

I walked to the back of the class with Landon in tow and introduced him to my friends.

"Landon this is Nyssa," I pointed to a beautiful Indian girl "And David," a sweet football player.

"Um, hi,"

"Hi Landon," Nyssa said "that looks like Eli's jacket."

"It is. Shannon got to him before Brooke and I and she 'accidentally' spilled her coffee all over him, at least according to the teachers." I don't know why but most of the teachers seem to love Shannon, which makes it pretty hard to get her busted for all the terrible things she's done to people.

We all sat back in our chairs as we got ready for an hour of boring.

I walked out of English surrounded by my friends as we chatted about our weekend plans and tried to ask Landon all kinds of questions which he just brushed off and said he'd answer them at lunch so he wouldn't have to repeat himself over and over.

3 hours later

Lunch! I'm starving, and I can't wait to hear the stories that my friends have today. I walk into the cafeteria with Regina, Violet, and Landon and walk over to our table in the corner. Brooke grabs me as I go to sit down.

"When is our next meeting?" she asks.

"I don't know. Maybe we should do it tonight. And do you think Landon has any powers?"

"I think he does, I don't know why but I do."

"Cool now we just have to figure out how to approach him about it. You can do that my friend. Now can we sit down? My stomach is going to eat me from the inside out."

One thing I might have forgotten to mention is that my sister, some of our friends and I have some pretty awesome powers, like shape-shifting, telekinesis, and charmspeak. We're definitely not the only ones, but we made a small group for our friends to help us learn to control --and hide--our abilities. There are a lot of people that know about people like us but not all of them are friendly. Then there are the 'normal' people whose minds might explode if they found out about us. It can make life interesting sometimes, when you have a hard time putting people in one of the categories. Yeah, hiding magic might be a little tricky at times, but sometimes it gives us the ability to play the ultimate pranks, plus who doesn't like magic?
