Chapter 14

Side: Battle Cry by Imagine Dragons

Brooklyn's P.O.V:

The only people left are Nyssa, Josie, and I. Let's just say that I have the perfect way to get Nyssa or even both of them out. I head to the kitchen and get out 12 onions, Popsicle sticks, and enough caramel to cover all the onions. While the caramel is in the microwave I get some dye out and dip the onions in it. Once the microwave beeps signaling that the caramel is done I stick the Popsicle sticks through them, then dipped them in the caramel. Next, putting them on a plate and placing it in the fridge to cool. At that second I hear someone yell about calling a pizza guy and pausing the game. Perfect.

20 minutes later

The pizza has finally arrived and everyone is getting situated in the living room for the movie. Which we still have to decide on.

"I want to watch Pitch Perfect" says Violet.

"We always watch that. We're watching Pirates of the Caribbean" Regina says. At that moment a whole cyclone of words is said.

"Where's Ty when you need him." I whisper to Landon... Light bulb. I smile evilly to Landon. A frightened look crosses his face.

"Landon, can you please put in The Avengers." I smile sweetly.

"Fine." he sighs " You are totally going to owe me after this. If I make it out alive."

Silently he walks to the shelf with all the movies and grabs The Avengers. He looks around nervously as he walks over to the DVD player. Just as he's about to pop the movie in, Logan notices.

"Hey, what do you think you're doing?!"

Landon looks like a deer caught in headlights as a battle cry is heard and everyone dog piles on him. Everyone except Nyssa, Josie, and I. Nyssa who missed the whole conflict came walking in with a caramel "apple". Josie looks at me.

"You didn't."I shrug.

"I called a truce."

"I did it before the truce."

"You're a despicable human being."

"To bad I'm not technically human." She shakes her head and walks into the kitchen. I look over at Nyssa and see her take a bite of the "apple".

At that moment Josie walks backs into the room with a glass of milk. She takes to Nyssa just as she starts gagging. I start laughing and get up to help Landon with his situation. I pull Regina and Violet off first, then grab David and Logan by the ear and yank them up. Lastly, Josie and I pull Asher and Eli off him. Once we get everyone off Landon we help him off the floor. I turn toward Josie and see her quickly pop in the movie without anyone seeing her doing it in the process.

"You owe me double now." grumbles Landon.

"Fine. Come on lets go to the couch."

"Uh. Nyssa why are your teeth and lips purple?" David questions.

"They're not purple." Nyssa answers.

"Yes they are. Guys they're purple right?" A collection on yes's are mumbled.

"But how..." She looks at the caramel 'apple' "ooh. Okay whose was it?" Everyone looks around and mumble wasn't mine. Slowly they turn to Josie and I.

"What I called a truce. Why would I do it?" Josie says.

"You called a truce so we could eat. Perfect time for your prank to happen." answers Regina.

"Come on we all know I wouldn't do that." During this whole conversation I'm sitting on the couch with Landon trying not to burst into a fit of laughter.

"Come on Landon. You should be vouching for me."

"She's right. It was Brooke."

"Landon! I saved you from the dog pile!" I cried

"You were the reason everyone attacked me!"

"Doesn't mean you rat me out!!"

"Ok, that's enough guys. Let's just watch the movie." Asher says.

"I'll make the popcorn!" Nyssa says as she jumps up.

"We've been over this before, Nyssa. You don't make the popcorn."

"Fine." she grumbles.
