Josephine P.O.V:

The ride home is a mix of singing and relief that the school day is over. I pull my baby into the driveway and wait outside while my sister runs inside to switch her backpack out with her purse -I keep mine in my car. We back away from the house and drive away again.

It takes us 10 minutes to drive to Barnes and Nobles©, where both of us work. Our shift hours vary on what day it is. The good news is that today Brooke and I are only working two hour shifts.

"How do I look?"

"Brooke, I know we both love our jobs but we don't have to look like wise old librarians to do it."

"Oh come on we both know that I look fabulous in these glasses."

I sigh. "I never denied it." Brooke has this fascination with glasses but she doesn't need

them. She thinks that working at Barnes and Nobles© gives her a reason to wear them. The truth is that she can pull off glasses like no one I've ever known but her fascination might run along the border of obsession.

Brooke flounces away to patrol the shelves and help any customers that need it. I head to the front to ask if they need any help with taking stock.

"Nope we're good today thanks Josie," the manager told me.

Well then I guess I get to spend two hours patrolling. Awesome.

Two hours later

A look at the clocks tells me it's 5:30. Shift's over! I yell for my sister and we walk out together. On the ride home we discuss the people who we saw and/or assisted, like one football jock who looked like he wouldn't touch a book with a ten foot pole but walked in following his girlfriend, wearing an extremely pained expression. Ah good times.

As we begin to near our house, the both of us decide whether we should call a meeting.

"We're babysitting tonight so maybe it's not the best idea," Brooke says.

"Yes but all of our friends adore Ty and Natalie, so that wouldn't be a problem. Not to mention we don't know how long it will take. It could take anywhere from 10 minutes to 3 hours to finish the meeting," I point out.

"Good point"

When we get home, we put out the word- meeting at our house -to all of our...special friends.
