Our Hidden World

Chapter 58

Landon's P.O.V.:

So far I haven't lost sight of Mary, I've been able to make sure that she doesn't get injured... Well that bad she has a few cuts and bruises but that part of being in a fight, right?

I throw one of my knives at a guy that was sneaking up on Mary and hit him right in the leg making him falls to the ground. Mary turns around and looks at the guy on the ground and up at me, she gives a quick nod before blocking a right hook and quickly retaliating with a kick to the back on the knee.

I feel the air move next to my head and have just enough time to duck from a punch aim at the side of my face, how I didn't see the girl come up to me I have no idea. The girl recovers and tries to slash at my stomach with her knife. I take a step back and bring up my left arm knocking her arm off course making her lose her hold on the knife. Wow she must be really new to not be able to keep a hold on a knife, that wasn't even a proper hit or block. She looks surprised and I use that time to get her in the head, she tumbles to the ground passed out.

Looking around I notice that Mary is farther away than she was before. I start making my way closer to her fighting anybody that gets close. Just as I reach Mary I see Eli and Josie running into the forest. I look at Mary and our eyes connect, you know how in books or movies when two people's eyes connect something is shared between the two well I guess you can say something like that happened because she nods her head like she understands.

I turn in the direction the went and as quickly as possible-which isn't very fast- try to get into the trees. Once I get into the forest I pause to see if I can figure out the way they headed. I stand there a few minutes focusing, I don't hear anything at first but then I hear someone talking.

"Well look at who it is. What they didn't want you on the battlefield? Are you that bad of a fighter?" I know that voice. I think for a few moments before realizing who it is. Regina. Which means the twins are going to be there, but I don't know where exactly they are and I'm just wasting time.

I close my eyes and concentrate on the what Brooke and Josie look like and in no one time I feel the familiar feeling of wind. Opening my eyes I see Brooke and Regina in fighting positions in front of me and Josie, Eli, Luna, and Greyson next to me.

Regina looks behind her and says with a smirk, "Aahh that's more like it." Before any of us can react she's thrown a knife at Brooke and running towards Luna. Brooke tries to the dodge the knife but is to slow and it ends up lodging in her right arm, while Luna and Regina go tumbling to the ground. It only takes a second for Greyson to start running to where Luna is and while the rest of us are attacked from behind. Gosh they're everywhere. They're like cockroaches, you think that you got rid of them but they keep showing up.

I stumble forward after being hit in the back of the head. I go to grab a knife but realize I don't have anymore. Okay looks like we are going to do this the hard way, hand-to-hand combat. I turn around and instantly go back on that plan when I see how big the guy is and the army of weapons the guy has on him. Well I guess this is as good as any to use my powers. I run towards him forming a ball of light in my hand and throw it at him, catching him off guard enough for me to land a left hook and a front kick to his stomach. Before he has time to recover I do a roundhouse kick making him tumble to the ground but not knock him out, I quickly kick him in the head to officially put him out of commission... well for a little while.

I hear a grunt beside me and a wave of heat quickly follows it. Turning to the left I see Eli on the ground with a hunter above that has a ring of fire around her. The ring of fire suddenly disappears and Josie goes barreling into the hunter from the side. As Josie grapples with her, I turn to the others to see that the rest of the group is fighting Regina.

"I always hated you," I hear behind. "Always seen as perfect and nice even when you didn't try." Oomph. "I definitely won't miss you after we kill you and all your friends." I hear scattering of leaves then someone land behind me.

Really not a good chapter. It's hard writing something like this when you don't know any fighting moves or weapons. Hopefully the next chapter won't take three weeks to update.
