Once I reached the end of the file I was reading, I leaned back on my chair with my eyes closed. I also heard the door to my study open and mumbled my thanks when Kate said that my snacks were here.

When my back wasn't that sore anymore, I set the papers I was working on aside and focused on my snacks. Nag-scroll lang ako sa social media accounts ko while eating and I skipped on the article speculations about Christopher and I.

The media are hell bent about it, several reporters and journalists have reached out to Kate for an interview with me but I declined. Hindi naman kasi needed and what would I say? They won't buy that we're friends, and the fact still stands that we might as well be engaged. I think pinapakiramdaman lang ng parents ko before telling me about it.

Well, I can ask but...I have no exact reason to confront them about it. They'll want my answer immediately; if I am okay or against the engagement. And frankly, I don't know what I feel about it.

Kasi medyo ine-expect ko na rin na sooner or later, I'll be engaged again. And as old as fixed marriage is, it's a thing for Royals. The only time lang ata na Royals did not marry due to an arrangement is when they fall in love with someone whose status falls near theirs or higher and their marriage would bode well for their family. Which most of the time I am skeptical of since I've heard gossip from adults in parties saying about conditioning their children to get used to someone's presence to the point of thinking of it as love until it eventually is.

All for maintaining the power they hold and upholding the public's view of them.

My brows shot up at the article posted by an international news account and when I read through it, my eyes widened. It was a criminal case, wherein the wife of a politician filed for domestic abuse. From what I've read, the wife has several lawyers bailed on her. Which undoubtedly is because of who the other side is.

Walang masyadong details kasi ngayon yung first hearing so when I finished reading along with my snacks, I went back to work. Back to reading, highlighting, noting, and segregating papers.

And just as I was about to begin reviewing again for my licensure exam, an idea popped in my head. One that I began working on until I was informed that dinner was ready.

Kahit nga I was eating with Kuya, Ate, and Kyle, I was preoccupied by the thought. Too many ideas were springing up in my brain that I ended up drafting all the needed documents after I went back to my study. Saka lang din ako nakabalik sa pag-review which stretched into midnight.

When morning came, I was a little groggy but I had work so I got ready as usual doing my morning workout, eating breakfast, taking a bath, and finally going to work. Pagdating ko sa International Court, I headed straight to the designated courtroom for Rio's case where I found him reviewing the files.

I gave him a folder where I noted the things I found significant and some of the comparisons I made from the last hearing. When the clients arrived, Rio began briefing them again about what to say and not to say. He also asked—more like threatened actually—if they were omitting some things.

Things that were told and unfortunately I am familiar with. Dirty things done in the business industry that I have encountered. And no matter how hard I try to take those kinds of businesses down, it's hard. Kasi you might be able to expose them but when it comes to people who kind of worship money, they'll do everything they can to keep it.

Once the hearing began, it wasn't pretty but I guess not as ugly as criminal cases get but I think we're on the better side by a bit? Lesser evil, if I must say or maybe I'm just making excuses to make myself feel better. I'm not really sure kaya I took notes during the hearing, which was easy kasi I was at the very front. Nakaupo ako katabi yung mga witnesses and when the hearing ended, we headed back up to the office where we reviewed the new evidence that was presented.
