I feel weird.

Not in the sick kind of way, it's just odd that I'm not hurrying what I'm currently doing as I have places to be in after it. Oh God, is that how much I've been working for the past few months? I don't know if I should compare this to the weirdness I felt after finals week sa college. Maybe I shouldn't, kasi talaga namang mas hectic ang schedule ko since I graduated.

There was more time for royal duties and public appearances ever since I graduated from college.

"You okay, Lauren?"

"Ate Ellis," I said and she pulled the seat in front of me. "You need someone to watch over Kyle?" I asked.

"No, he's fine. And you're not going to babysit him for this week. Focus ka lang sa pag-study and do things you can't regularly do," Ate answered.

"Oh, I see. Pero why are you here? Free time?"

"Yes pero I was thinking of a girl's day out? Children free since Logan's out with Kyle sa charity party."

"Why ka hindi kasama?" I asked.

"I kind of overslept and missed my flight last night," Ate grimaced.

I momentarily looked at my pile of reviewers then at Ate before I decided to close the book I was highlighting and I gestured at the maids with a small smile to take care of my things. Ate and I just passed by our respective rooms to get our purses before getting into the car to go to the mall. The first thing we did was schedule an appointment for later then we went shopping.

We first went to our favorite brand of jewelry store where we each got a whole new set of the brand's new jewelry. Then we went to a boutique for kids and I noticed that Ate kept on looking at different types of clothes.

"Kyle likes yellow diba Ate?" I asked while holding a yellow shirt.

"I think green na yung favorite color n'ya ngayon," Ate said.

Napatingin naman ako sa sales lady, who's assisting us, and asked if they have this shirt in green. Which they do so I had it placed on the cart pushed by one of our bodyguards. I was about to go and check out some new shoes for Kyle pero, I noticed Ate seriously looking at the baby onesies; the kind of onesies for infants.

Na will be useless if she buys it kasi obviously, it wouldn't fit Kyle unless...

"Oh my God," I gasped, "Ate Ellis?" I called.

"Yeah," Ate laughed before telling the sales lady to get a few of the onesies she got to be included in the cart. "This one's for a friend's baby shower na pupuntahan ko."

"Pero really, Ate? You're pregnant?" I whispered once we were out of the store.

"Yeah, I found out yesterday. It's actually why I came home late yesterday. Preggy hormones made me vomit at the smell of my favorite dish, then my Mom got worried and brought me to the hospital."

"So how far along?"

"A little over four weeks," Ate answered.

We initially decided to go shopping for dresses pero Ate got hungry so we went to a restaurant of her choosing. And she's definitely pregnant; kasi she's usually very strict on her diet, like not eating too many carbs or sweets. But here she is right now, eating her fill.

"How do you plan to tell Kuya, Ate?" I asked kasi when she was pregnant with Kyle, she had balloons with a you're a dad and we're parents and similar prints all over their room.

"I don't know? But maybe a new mug for him. Para kasing tanga, nabasag yung cup n'ya."

Natawa ako sa sinabi ni Ate and then I remembered one of Hadley's mug. She had this mug she got customized; a heat changing mug. I can't remember the design but she said she got that mug para kapag she woke up on the wrong side of the bed, she'd feel a little better and not lash out on other people.
