It wasn't long before everyone in the camp found out. There wasn't any reason to wait for the 24 hours to call for the police force to search for them, not after their personal attendants were found dead.

Everyone was shocked when the classes before dinner time were canceled—the camp itself ending early—and everyone was gathered in the function hall and we saw the King and Queen of Great Amethyst at the stage with Logan.

They immediately asked for people to speak of the last time they saw Lauren or Dominique where several people answered. And everything got messier because they were last seen attending their classes, some during lunch time. It would be too much of a denial to refuse to acknowledge that they've been kidnapped.

The abductors announced their demands on live TV after disrupting the program flow of the international news outlet during that time. And as much as I wanted to somehow be as physically present with Logan who'd definitely put all the blame to himself, I couldn't because I still had duties to attend to.

"He doesn't look okay," Maverick commented as we looked at Logan at the other side of the conference room after telling us he wanted to be alone.

"Dude, if it was my sister being held hostage for weeks I'd be like him too," Leo commented. "We told him we're a ring away; plus a few hours of flight to Great Crystal. That's something, I hope."

I had to put my worry for the Vandella Siblings aside and mean business in this conference. Of course it was difficult arguing with adults nearing their retirement age. They believe their proposals ideal, only it was ideas better suited for at least as early as 1700s, not the 2000s.

That meeting had me frustrated because we got a bunch of old people hanging onto their toxic, selfish ideals that led to a more progressive proposal getting denied. I was so annoyed that I found myself throwing stuff in a rage room.

Parang bawat bansa ata na puntahan ko may alam akong rage room na pinupuntahan para tuwing nagkakaganito yung conferences malalabas ko.

This is why I think there should also be a retirement age for ruling monarchs and all those whose decisions will affect the many. They have no business making stupid decisions that affect a large population whose age demographic might as well be the age of their grandkids if they had one. Parang tanga lang yung isang bansa na yung Minister of Youth ilang taon na lang ang layo sa pagiging eligible for a senior citizen card.

"Kuya," I heard Christian, my younger brother, call me as he opened the door to my room with his head peeking inside.

"Yeah?" Tanong ko.

"How's Kuya Logan? Tagal na non 'di bumibisita," aniya.

"You know he's preoccupied with his sister's disappearance?"

"Princess Lauren and Prince Dominique are still not found?"

"No. And I don't think they'll go through with the payment their abductors asked of them."

Sa sinabi kong 'yon, napapasok si Christian sa kwarto ko at walang sabi-sabing kinuha yung isa pang controller sa nilalaro ko. Agad ko namang ni-restart yung game at ginawang pangdalawang tao.

"Why not? Mas mabilis 'yon."

I asked our parents the same question. If either one of us got abducted, would they just pay the ransom asked; they answered no.

Hindi ko napigilang tingnan nang mapanghusga si Christian dahil tinanong n'ya if kaya ba hindi gagawin yung gusto ng kidnappers eh dahil feeling nila papatayin sila in the end. What the hell is this kid watching?
