"Kuya," I called my brother who just entered the museum in the palace.

It's where all the portraits and historical things passed down in the royal family are kept. It gets opened to the public a few times a year but is open for scheduled visits for politicians, fair youths, councilors, and royals.

"Why?"

"I'm just thinking..." I said. "Your family's the only one permitted to live in the main palace once you ascend the throne."

"Lauren, that's not happening in the next ten years, our Dad's still strong."

"I know," I said.

"What's this?"

"I'm just...wondering. What would our parents say or do if I tell them that I kind of want to move in with Chris."

I heard an exaggerated gasp and when I looked at Kuya, he's even gripping his chest so I furrowed my brows at him.

"Christopher asked you to move in?" He said and I shook my head.

"Just...he's going to return to Great Emerald after he gets his masters and...I don't think I can do another long distance," I honestly told him which made me sigh.

I don't even know why I'm thinking about this because it's so far in the future. Maybe 3 or 4 years. Or maybe I should stop lying to myself and accept the fact that last night, I dreamt of Dominic who was watching me and Chris out on a date. He was just...smiling.

And I can't help but think that he's happy for me. Because I am. Genuinely that sometimes I feel like my heart is going to burst.

So here I am, thinking about the future I never had with him. How I want to do what I couldn't. Not because I wasn't able to do it with him so I'm doing it with Chris, but because I wanted to.

Honestly, what made me think of this was the recent events. It was nice.

Waking up next to Chris in his arms, was nice. Even though I ended up sleeping again just because it felt so good and so right to be between his arms. Especially during our vacation in his yacht.

"Do you need a hug?" Kuya said out of the blue and instead of answering, I just walked towards him and hugged him.

"He's not him," Kuya said, as if he's reminding me. And I needed that. "I know how it feels not wanting to be away from your other half because when I don't see Ellis or Kyle in a day? I feel anxious. So I think Mom and Dad will agree. Plus you're old enough to make your own decisions. You can even just pack your things and tell us that you're going to move in with Christopher."

"And?" I asked because I know he's got more to say.

"You were young, you both were. So of course you were going to be stupid one way or another. And you're still going to be even now that you're older because personally I'm old but I still do a lot of stupid shit, but the thing is? Now you know better."

"Thank you," I told Kuya.

"And don't tell Christopher I told you this but, he's really smart and careful. So I trust him with you. He even tells me whenever you two are out in the lake or somewhere before you were together and even now since you don't really say where you're going beforehand. Kaya akala ko nga pinapaalam mo na lang na titira ka na sa bahay ni Christopher dito eh."

I thanked Kuya again while laughing and he just tapped my back before leaving the room.

My days were just as usual. Working between royal duties and my businesses, meeting with my friends, and going on dates with Chris. But I kept on going back to my conversation with Kuya no matter what I was doing.
