LAURICE

"I am so sorry, I told the Queen that it was okay because I know you're busy with your board exam," Prince Philip apologized.

"It's okay. I wouldn't want din naman to spend all day reviewing," I smiled.

He then pulled a chair for me and I thanked him as I sat. We were immediately handed the menu and I lifted it high enough to cover my eyes. Because it's just so awkward; suddenly having to spend lunch with him.

Nandito kasi s'ya for business, I think with one of his relatives. Who just saw me pass by the hall and suggested that we go have lunch. Okay lang naman sa akin kasi I was getting frustrated with my review but I kind of hated that his relative made the suggestion in a way that there's no room to say no.

If I wasn't in the mood for doing something else, I would have said no.

"Say...are you okay with having dates at least once a week?" He said, breaking the silence. "I mean, syempre habang on-going pa yung board exam mo, I'll be glad with just dinner or lunch if possible."

"Okay lang sa akin, although you do know that you're going to have to fly all the way here for lunch or dinner?" Sagot ko.

"It's okay, I want to know you more."

My eyes widened at what he said and buti na lang the waiter came to ask for our order. Akala ko nga we're just going to have short conversations followed by awkward silence repeatedly. But he began talking about the Annual Noble Summer Camp, one that I wasn't able to attend this year because I've been reviewing for my board exam and I have more responsibilities.

"It really is impossible to take part in it na after college ano?" I asked.

"Honestly, yeah. Personally, the participation I had with it since college is just sponsoring or being able to attend for just a day."

"How about...organizing it?" I asked.

"Depende sa Royal Council and you'll have to convince your parents, your father in particular, to have you be part of the organizer."

"I'd rather think about of other things kapag tapos na yung boards ko," I laughed.

Once we finished dessert, we left the restaurant where we ate. Nag-decline ako sa offer n'ya na ihatid ako kahit sa gate ng palace but he insisted so I just let him.

And I was back to hours of reviewing. Medyo madalas nga na nakakatulog ako bigla so I sometimes opt to just study in my room. I wouldn't want to experience another stiff neck ano!

When I get kind of sick sa environment where I'm studying, I would go somewhere. I went to Candice's house to study with her, hung out in the university where Tara teaches, reviewed in Keane's restaurant, and went to Neil's grad school. I also ate lunch with both Chris and Rio. And went to a meal with Philip when he's here.

"Last ten minutes," the proctor announced.

Napatingin naman ako at yung iba pa sa proctor pero we immediately returned our attention to our questionnaires and answer sheets. I also tried to relax although one part of my brain is telling me to hurry. Thankfully, I managed to answer all the items before turning in my answer sheet and questionnaire.

While the proctor was fixing all the questionnaires and answer sheets, nagsasabi s'ya ng kung anong tips and what to do when we find out our results. Honestly, I can't really understand it because my brain just got tortured. When the proctor left nga, a lot of us are still seated, hydrating, snacking, or just staring into space.

My hand immediately flew to my mouth when I felt myself about to yawn. Then someone suggested a group picture. I was about to just leave pero I saw everyone walking towards the group who suggested it. Then someone invited me to get in the picture.
