As maddening and annoying what happened was, with Chris evidently annoyed every time he's on his phone, I tried to keep his mind off of it. Hindi ko naman sinasadya but when he left this phone open, I saw him keeping in touch with the lawyer about it. Kaya as much as I hated what happened, I acted that I was over it.

"I guess renting a car was worth it," I laughed.

Because of what happened, word got out that we are in Great Peridot and now the paparazzi are trying to follow us. I knew it was possible and Chris does too, and he's already made measures by having Kate and Derek go the opposite way to keep them from us.

The media already knows that Kate and Derek are always closely watching us to ensure our safety. Which is why it was incredibly difficult to convince them to do that after we told them about it. They only got convinced when they found out that Chris had brought in more security personnel.

I'm not really sure about Derek but Kate, she's actually a high-ranking military official prior to being hired by my family to be my new lady maid. The previous lady maid or lady-in-waiting I had was killed in action during the time that Dominique and I were kidnapped.

She was given strict orders by my parents to keep a close eye on me and having her around me made me feel safe, especially the first few months prior to the incident. If this was before, I would have felt really anxious to go along with Chris' plan.

But I easily agreed. I just knew that with Chris, I'm safe. I can trust him. Maybe it's also a factor that his parents are not going to just let him go from one country to another. Even if he goes from one country to another, he's still going to be the King of Great Emerald.

"Do you want to take turns driving when we get back?" I asked him.

Kasi he's been driving for a few hours and based on what I saw sa navigation app, we're going to a beach and we're not yet close to it.

"We don't have to. Derek and Kate will be catching up with us by tomorrow, or later if they can't sit still with us being away for hours."

What he said was true which is why I could not help but laugh.

When Chris finally parked the car, we got out, not after Chris fixed the beanie on my head. Una talaga naming puntahan is a coffee shop where we got ourselves a hot cup of coffee and we just walked around the shopping district near the beach. Feeling ko naman our things are being handled by our guards to our accommodation so I just enjoyed it.

"Honestly, none of the movies interests me," Chris said while we were looking at the schedule of the movie house.

"Is there something else that we can watch?" I asked. "Hindi ko rin type yung movies," I said.

"I think there's a nearby skating rink and there might be a hockey competition that we can watch?" He said and I felt his arm moving beside me so I just made it easier for him, I held his hand.

"What if later pa 'yon?" I asked.

"Do you want to go skating? From what I know they keep the rink open to the public naman. They'd probably close it at least an hour before the competition."

"I want to but I can't guarantee my skating abilities," I told him.

"I know how to skate, don't worry."

Since wala kaming magustuhan na movie, we ended up shopping. Funny nga kasi both of us were buying things mostly for Kyle. Only when Chris made a funny face, saying na hahanapan s'ya ni Kuya ng pasalubong did I remember to buy my friends some souvenirs din. Binilhan din namin si Blue, Kuya's dog, a stuff toy.
