LAURICE

"It fits perfectly," I told the designer as I twisted and turned to see my gown's base.

"Do you want to get it adjusted anywhere?"

"This is good, I don't skip my morning workouts naman," I told the designer. "Unless I was too tired from the day before."

After they've had to try on the layers that they've done, we proceeded to try the base for my second gown and its available layers. I'll be wearing two gowns kasi at my party and it was only now when the bases were available for fitting kasi the fabrics that are going to be used to make my gown were only delivered a few days ago. Hindi pa nga complete yung lahat ng fabrics.

I knew how many layers there would be in my gowns kaya I'm a little worried that they might have to rush it. Of course I did not tell them that kasi they'll definitely rush it.

The designer also asked me if I wanted some details about my gown to change and I'm glad they asked because I had some ideas when I received the initial sketch. Of course hindi pwedeng lahat so we had to make it work.

And when we were done, I offered to take them out for dinner kasi I really had a lot of requests. They declined, kasi may other clients pa raw sila na ime-meet kaya naman I spent my remaining three hours window shopping and shopping. More or less thirty minutes siguro before my scheduled flight to Great Turquoise when we drove back to Great Diamond's international airport.

I only slept during the flight and Kate woke me up with ample time to retouch my makeup. Like usual, I was escorted by several guards who kept the paparazzi away from me so that I could peacefully board the car. Kate only reminded me of the things that I am to do which I frankly didn't pay any attention to until I heard that Chris was here.

Knowing that Chris was here, I didn't really know how to act around him. He confessed during Kuya and Ate's pregnancy announcement party. Then just went back to doing the things he usually does.

"Philip's here?" I asked Kate with wide eyes when I saw Philip.

"Yes...I told you earlier, Your Highness."

"I," I paused, "I didn't hear."

Parang I don't want to sit in my designated seat. That person who's in charge of the seating arrangement is definitely nananadya!

I had no choice but to head to my seat, which is between Chris' and Philip's kasi magsisimula na yung conference. The looks that were thrown in our direction were kind of distracting but I managed to ignore them.

Although I almost stuttered when I saw how Chris was intently looking at me as I spoke. After ko rin magsalita, there was a small piece of paper that slid to me from Philip's direction.

As expected, you did good. - P.M. it read.

I just gave him a nod with a small smile and returned my focus on the conference. Kate was also sending me files on my laptop as the meeting went by, those were files that contained the things that were being talked about. Some of which are familiar and the others are not.

There were too many things to talk about so we took a break. And I am not just about to get myself in a stressful situation which is why as soon as I saw Clinton, I quickly walked towards him.

"How's Tori?" Tanong ko at nagulat ko ata s'ya.

"Ano ba 'yan. Kanina lang nasa kabilang dulo ka pa ng room," he said. "But she's okay, better than the last time you saw her. Don't you girls talk?"

"Can't you just ride with it?" I asked.

"Oh right, them. Buti na lang may Tori na 'ko."

My face definitely made some sort of face, probably disgust. When Clinton called Philip, I almost ran to get away. I forgot they're friends!
