"Aren't you supposed to be up?" Chris asked me. "Or better yet getting your makeup done?"

"Just how much do you take me as a morning person?" I laughed and shifted on my bed without losing sight of him through the screen. "But how about you? Don't you have a family brunch?"

"I do have a family brunch. I'm just waiting for them to call me." He answered. "Did you eat breakfast already? Mukhang kagigising mo lang."

Because of what Chris said, napakuha tuloy ako sa mirror na nakatabi sa bedside table ko. Was it that obvious na I just woke up?

When I checked myself in the mirror, it didn't really look that obvious. Kasi when I put on makeup, I abide by the royal protocol na hindi dapat super heavy. I usually have light makeup or a no-makeup-makeup-look. So I think, I think lang naman, there isn't really that much of a difference if I'm wearing makeup or none.

"Your lips are paler if you're gonna ask how I knew," Chris told me before I even asked.

"Just how much do you look at my lips that you know when I don't have makeup on?" I asked him.

"Enough times. Don't worry, I always look respectfully," Chris' answer made me furrow my brows at him. "What? I wouldn't look at you like that unless you ask me."

I spent a good time chatting with Chris until Kate came in to tell me that I needed to get ready. As much as I wanted to soak in the tub, I couldn't kasi booked and busy kami kapag Christmas.

The Royal Family of Great Crystal has a tradition where the members of the royal family will be present at the grandstand of our national park. Then the ruling monarch will be giving out a speech.

That speech contains the good things that happened for the country for that year. May ganun din for the new year but the speech naman para ron, it's for the things that the royal family and government is aiming for. Some sort of bucket list or new year's resolution.

I don't really know how they plan these events. I'm not as involved as Kuya who will be doing it once he's King. Too bad for him and lucky for me.

Every time kasi na gan'to, I just go around with my friends. Nagiging Christmas music festival yung grandstand ng National Park every Christmas and New Year.

There's also a lot of food stalls and game stalls. Although a good time of the night would be my friends and I spending time entertaining Kyle because Ate and Kuya need to talk to the other royals and government officials who will be present tonight.

When I ate with the family, we were being briefed on what we're going to do. Even though we were familiar with it.

As always our clothes were already planned.

Para ngang naramdaman ni Chris na I was already changing into my outfit for tonight because I received a message from him. He reminded me na if my clothes aren't as thick as it should be in accordance with the weather, I should bring a coat.

Kaya naman while my hair and makeup was being done, I asked Kate to bring the coat that Chris gave to me.

In the middle of my hair and makeup, someone knocked and came in. But judging from the baby talk, it's Kyle. Tama naman ako. Just as I was about to greet him, Kyle immediately lifted his tablet only to frown as he put it down.

"Aunt Lauren, smile!" Kyle snickered and he looked so adorable that I ended up laughing at his expression.

"Did you take a picture of me?" I asked and returned to facing the mirror so that the stylists could go back to work.
