As Sumio Kobayashi watched his friend point at a girl with silver hair and blue eyes he couldn't help but admit she was cute.

"Congrats." He nudged him, "Go over there and sit with them-"

He suddenly noticed Riko, the girl he helped earlier sitting next to her.

Meanwhile on the other side of the room a conversation was being held.

"It's him..." Riko said.

"That's your prince?" You cocked her head to the side. "He seems a little... ordinary."

I mean, good looking, but other than that, she couldn't find any reason to like him like Riko did.

But she shrugged it off. After all, Riko was the one that liked him. Not her.

However, she felt as though something would happen between the two of them.

And unfortunately for Sumio, he felt the same way.

The teacher called for everyone to take their seats. As one by one each student introduced themselves.

One student had Shintaro's full attention.

"My name is You Watanabe." She grinned. "Hope we can be friends!"

Watanabe...

As in?

"Huh? Oh yeah she's my cousin." Tsuki Watanabe explained to Sumio as they headed for the student council room.

He was helping her carry paperwork over there when he brought up the topic.

"Why?" She smiled mischievously, "You like her? Pretty cute huh?"

"That's apparently what Shintaro thinks." He replied sighing.

Tsuki laughed, "Of course he does. Anyways ou and You haven't even talked have you?"

"Who and You haven't talked yet-" A certain girl asked walking into the room.

The two paused when they saw each other.

"Oh perfect timing You!" Tsuki clapped Sumio on the back, "This is Sumio Kobayashi, he's the captain of the basketball team!"

"Nice to meet you." You bowed, this was her chance to see just what type of person he really was.

Tsuki continued, "And this is You Watanabe! Extremely good swimmer, in fact she's qualified for the national team!"

"That's seriously impressive." Sumio grinned.

"T-thank you. Are you friends with Tsuki?"

"Since middle school." He admitted. "Of course, you have to be close with the student council president. The basketball team does need funds- ow!"

Tsuki pulled his ear. "You're such a pain. Also... I have to do things here so you two go ahead. Go show her around or something Sumio."

"Fine fine..." he muttered as Tsuki closed the door.

The two of them started to walk around school together. Sumio showed every different place on campus.

"So you're the people Tsuki was talking about huh?" He stretched. You explained that they moved over to this school since their's was shut down.

"I guess so." She shrugged as she checked her phone. "I have to get ready for club now!"

"Same here." He said before turning around.

But before she turned away, You smiled, "Thanks for showing me around! I guess we're in your care this year." She bowed.

"Y-yeah... no problem." He said giving her a thumbs up.

As he headed for the gym her heard a brief chant behind him.

"Alright! Here we go! Zensoku zenshin... Yousoro!"

A smile appeared on his face. They really were cousins...

After school, Sumio waited for Shintaro at the baseball field. His practice was over and he felt tired, but as always the two would walk home together.

"Yo!" The baseball star greeted. "You have any new recruits?"

"Not really." He admitted, "But that's okay, we're going to nationals anyways."

"Same with us." They both grinned.

"So..." Sumio sighed, "Do you really think you can get You to date you?"

"Of course!" He said confidently. "I didn't get a chance to talk to her... but I have an idea!"

"What is it?"

"You're going to set me up with her!" He smiled.

"And why exactly am I going to do that?"

"I saw you showing her around school today. You guys are cool right? And Tsuki and you have been close too so..."

"You're acting like you and Tsuki aren't friends."

"Yeah... but I'm not going to go to her and say 'Help me date your cousin.'"

"That sounds like a great idea." Sumio rolled his eyes.

"So... can you please do it? For me? Because we're such good friends?"

"I don't know... I think you should do it, if you really like her."

"Can you at least set me up?"

"Fine... I'll try."

He wanted to help Shintaro. After all... what's the worst that could happen?

You Watanabe rolled her bike along the road as she and Riko and walked to where Riko lived.

"Chika-chan sure has gotten excited about her club." Riko laughed. "So much that she can't even walk home with us."

"Mou... that idiot gets too absorbed in anything that she's doing." You complained.

"Sounds like someone I know." Riko hid a smile.

"Yeah yeah, let's change the topic."

"I see, actually I have something I want to ask you." Riko said all serious.

"What is it?"

"I saw you and Sumio in the hallway today."

"Oh yeah, Tsuki asked him to show me around. He's a pretty good guy."

"So you two are friends?" She asked an idea popping in her head.

"You could say that." You shrugged.

"So... can I ask you to help me?"

"Help you..." She beckoned her friend to continue.

"You know, set me up with Sumio."

"Eh?"

"Please! I just want you to try and figure out what he likes and stuff. I'm begging you!"

"I don't know Riko-chan... you should really make the move. If you like him of course."

"But it'd be so embarrassing... can you at least set me up?"

"I'll try..."

She didn't think much of it, but by accepting her friend's request she ended up creating a worse situation for herself.

A lot worse...

Especially since the next day...

"Yo..." Sumio waved.

"Y-yo..." You responded.

And with that the challenge of getting to know the other so they could set up their best friend... had begun!

Yo! Here's the first chapter! I feel like the prologue confused some people, but I think the next few chapters will finally bring some light to what actually happens in the story.

Anyways hope you all are having a good day! Peace!

Be safe! Mask up! Don't be stupid!
