Chapter 42

"Nii-chan... You're gonna be late!" Haru Kobayashi burst into her older brother's door. Their cousin Kotori Minami followed close behind.

"She's right! You're going to miss graduation rehearsals!" The idol said taking off the blanket.

"Who cares? It's not like I'm gonna win any awards anyways..." Sumio Kobayashi rolled over to his side, completely uninterested in going to school.

While his sister tried to shake him awake. Kotori noticed his phone was vibrating.

She grabbed the phone and looked at the caller id.

"My my... what do we have here?" She brought out her teasing voice. "A call from Yōu... with a heart next to her name. How cute!"

"OI!" Sumio snapped up, fully awake. "What are you doing?!"

It was too late. The famous pop idol answered the call.

"Helloooo~?"

"Ah. Kotori-san, is Sumio still sleeping?" Yōu Watanabe asked.

"Hmm? Did you come to give him a lovey-dovey wake up call?" Kotori grinned.

"No no, it's nothing like that. I just don't want him to be late for rehearsals. After all... we're supposed to go there together."

Sumio's expression changed from tired, to shock, to panic.

"I forgot!" He screamed as he began to throw on some clothes.

"But if he's running behind I'll just head to school myself." Yōu said before hanging up the phone.

"NOOOOOOO!" He groaned.

Kotori and Haru both shook their head at the absolute stupidity of Sumio.

"At this point you're gonna break up if you keep forgetting basic stuff like this..." Kotori sighed.

"You better not mess this up! I want Yōu to become my onee-chan!" Haru threatened.

"I got it, I got it!" He said running down the stairs. "If I hurry I can still catch up with her! Later!"

He ran outside to his front gate only to see Yōu's blue eyes staring into his eyes.

"Hmmm? You really wanted to walk with me that badly?"

"Yōu? Wait... what? I thought you-"

"Of course I waited for you." She smiled. "We are dating aren't we?"

That smile melted his heart continously.

"Took you guys long enough." Tsuki said as the couple arrived at the school soon after.

"Sorry, one of us decided they wanted to sleep in." Yōu shot Sumio a look.

"Or maybe you were being all lovey-dovey..." Shintaro teased as he joined the group.

"Haven't we teased them enough?" Riko smiled as she and Chika walked over to them.

"This is just the beginning!" Chika said.

"Man this is so gonna back fire if you break up." Shintaro sighed causing a protest to come out from Sumio.

"Can we please talk about something else?" Yōu asked, already bored of the conversation.

"Fine." Tsuki said, "What are your plans this summer break?"
