"So are you official?" Tsuki asked as Yōu choked on her lunch.
"Official what?" The silver haired girl offered.
"Officially dating you idiot!" Tsuki sighed as once again her cousin choked on her food.
"We're not dating!" She pointed her chopsticks aggressively at the dark-haired Watanabe.
"Fine, let me just ask Sumio." Tsuki said taking out her phone.
"You go do that." Yōu got back to eating.
"Hello? Yeah Sumio, I was just wondering... are you and my cousin dating now?" she quickly put the phone on speaker.
"If you mean Yōu then yeah." a deep voice on the other end answered causing Tsuki to grin while Yōu face palmed.
"Hmm... I hope I don't become an Aunt too soon." Tsuki laughed causing both Yōu and Sumio to turn red. Sumio from embarrassment and Yōu from anger leading to another fast paced chase throughout the house of Tsuki.
On the other end, Sumio sweat dropped, hearing all of the crashing furniture in the household. It had been two days since he and Yōu had their little talk during twilight. When it was neither night nor day. And it seemed magical.
The only problem was, the two of them didn't know how to act like a couple. Which confused both of them to the point where they even questioned if they were a couple.
Neither of them were very lovey-dovey. Hell, they had a hard time walking next to each other down the street.
And even when they were with each other, it felt like they were still just best friends. But, now they were best friends who were now a couple.
"It's kind of frustrating." Sumio complained to Shintaro who had to be the worst person for dating advice considering the amount of L's he has taken in dating.
"Well... dating is sort of like a boulder rolling down the hill." He explained. "All of your feelings and emotions of trying to get with each other were the peak, and now that you're there it just doesn't feel like there's no where higher to go."
"So we just roll down the hill?" Sumio said confused.
"Pfft, don't ask me I've never been in a serious relationship like this." Shintaro laughed while Sumio just face palmed. "But if you're that worried then just stay the same. It's not like you guys are fighting right?"
"That's what's missing!" Sumio said standing up.
"I'm sorry what?"
"We haven't been fighting recently! That's why it feels different." Sumio began to feel excited. "The way to build back our strong relationship is to obviously fight and solve our issues together."
"No Sumio I don't think that's-"
"Thanks Shintaro you're the best!"
"Like I said, that's not what I meant-"
"I'm off!" Sumio sprinted towards Tsuki's house.
"Fighting your girlfriend never leads to anything good." Shintaro sighed.
Arriving at Tsuki's house he burst through the door causing the two girls to look up frightened.
"Hm? Oh it's just you Sumio." Tsuki waved at him to come into the living room.
"Whatcha doing?" Yōu asked him as he sat down.
"I'm ready." he looked with total seriousness on his face.
"To do...?" Yōu asked.
"To kiss?" Tsuki's eyes sparkled as her cousin smacked her upside the head. "Ow!"
"No." His gaze fell upon Yōu. "I'm ready to fight."
"Eh?" Both Watanabe girls scratched their heads.
"What are you talking about?" Yōu asked confused.
"Well, I've been thinking... the reason we haven't been as close recently is maybe because you and I need to fight. Then we patch things up."
"Again what are you talking about?" Yōu said while Tsuki rolled on the floor laughing.
"That's a good one! This might be the funniest thing you've ever said! What sort of twisted relationship are you guys in?" Tsuki started choking from all of her laughter.
"We're not gonna be in a relationship if he keeps being an idiot." Yōu muttered. "There's nothing wrong between us right now. Why do you care so much?"
Sumio sat there a minute. "But like, we're still just the same as before."
"Is there a problem with that?"
"I just thought... that maybe it'd be nice to be a little more... like a couple." Sumio said quietly.
"You're so cliché for that!" Tsuki grinned, "I mean seriously what are you even talking about?"
"Can you leave please." Yōu and Sumio said at the same time.
"Fine fine, you lovebirds can figure this out. Hey wait a minute this is my house!" She protested as Sumio shoved her out of the room.
"What's this really about Sumio?" Yōu asked as she sat down once again. "I'm all ears for once so it better be good."
"You and I are going to Singapore next year."
"That's correct. We are attending the same university after all." She gave him her "you're too stupid to live" look.
"And I know I have everything I want. I finally have the girl, you, and now I just kind of wonder... what's next?"
Yōu face palmed. "Seriously? We literally have been 'dating' for two days and you're already bored of me?"
"That's not what I'm saying!" He protested. "It's just, I haven't really been in a relationship before so I don't really know what happens next."
"We just keep being the same as we are of course. That's how we fell in love right?" Yōu smiled.
"I guess... but Shintaro was telling me about how there should be a next step to dating..."
"And you believed him?"
"But like I said he swore he's seen it before."
"-In anime and manga."
Honestly Yōu Watanabe couldn't believe this guy. He was ridiculous, an overthinker, and even worse, he was still attractive for her.
She never really understood why she cared so much about him. She just loved being around him.
However in the next few days their relationship would soon start as the final week of school was about to begin...
