"Woah! Awesome sign Riko!" Chika said as the burgundy-haired girl walked into the gym. She was holding a large sign that read, "Go Sumio!" as well as his number on it.

It was the day of the big game. The game that decide whether or not Shoji got to go out with Yōu, but surprisingly the blue-eyed girl wasn't there yet.

"Where do you think she is?" Riko asked. "She does realize that today's the day right?"

"You don't think that she's secretly planning on moving if they lose right?" Chika had tears in her eyes, "Yōu can't leave! She can't!"

"Calm down... have some faith in Sumio." the much calmer Riko smiled.

"Does having a crush make a person smile more?"

"Why do you say that?"

"Because you've been smiling a lot lately." Chika teased.

"Shut up! I won't be smiling if you keep talking about it!" Riko karate-chopped her on the forehead.

"You guys are kind of loud..." Shintaro said joining them with popcorn in his hands. "People are staring."

"Sorry!" Riko said.

"It's fine, who cares anyways?" Chika smiled.

Just then, Sumio approached them. "Is Yōu here?"

"Nope."

"Shoot, she must've escaped from this country or something." he shrugged. "I don't know why, we're gonna win anyways."

"Who's escaping where?" a voice said from a few rows behind them. Tsuki and Yōu stood there.

"How long have you been sitting there?" Sumio asked.

"I was one of the first people in the gym after all." Yōu glanced at the locker room door. There stood the Uranohoshi Boys School team. "If you lose..."

"I won't. But I have to talk to you after the game when we win." The look in his eyes scared Yōu. He looked extremely serious for once.

"Fine."

Sumio jogged back unto the court. His heart was beating quickly and the game hadn't even begun yet. Who knew talking to the person you would confess your feelings to would be so nerve-wracking.

"Teams! Line up." the referee called both squads to go to center court. "Bow!"

"Let's have a good game!" Both sides said.

It was time. The moment Sumio had been waiting for. Just think about it, after the game he'd swoop Yōu off of her feet and ask her out.

Of course she would say yes and he'd gloat it in front of Shoji.

The whole picture seemed perfect.

As they lined up for tip-off, Sumio glanced over at Shoji who was staring right at him.

"Sorry. This is my day." Sumio told him right before the game began.

And to be honest, it was.

From the get-go the Seishin basketball team started off strong. Sumio drained a couple of threes and even dunked it in.

The score was 13-5 when the Uranohoshi coach called a timeout.

"Great job everyone. Sumio, I'm gonna have you sit for a while." Their coach said.

"Huh? Why?"

"I need you to play all of the second half."

Normally he would've protested that he could play the whole game. But this game was too important...
