The day's were going by decently quickly. Yōu and Sumio would typically walk together after school. Usually with either Riko, Chika, or Shintaro.

They'd constantly be hanging out with each other, trying to figure out what the other enjoyed and what they hated.

Day after day the two relayed information to to either Riko or Shintaro.

"He really loves ramen."

"Her favorite food is Salisbury Steak."

"He's got an unhealthy sweet tooth."

"She absolutely despises sashimi."

And with this information the two love struck students would find ways to impress their crushes.

Shintaro, for example, would constantly buy fresh mikans from the market and give them to Yōu.

Riko on the other hand, would always be sure to something sweet on hand and would offer it to Sumio.

Unfortunately, neither Yōu or Sumio could tell that Rik or Shintaro liked them.

"He's such an idiot!" Yōu groaned frustrated. "We've done like everything! Everything he likes and he hasn't taken a single clue!"

"I'm sorry!" Riko apologized. "Maybe... he just doesn't like me."

"That can't be..." She tapped her foot, "It's not your fault he's a dense idiot."

"It probably wasn't meant to be then."

"No! We can't give up!"

Riko laughed, "So what do you want to do about it?"

"I'll ask Tsuki. She'll know what to do."

On the other side of the school, Shintaro and Sumio were heading for practice.

"She's such an idiot!" Sumio yelled. "How- I don't understand how she can't see it! We've literally done everything!"

Shintaro sighed, "I guess it wasn't meant to be."

"No!" His friend shook his head, "We can't give up yet!"

"And what's your plan good sir?"

"I'm going to ask Tsuki. She'll know what to do." He said before heading to practice.

"Well isn't this convenient?" Tsuki grinned as Sumio entered the room.

"You!" Yōu and Sumio pointed at each other. "Leave!"

Tsuki watched, amused as the two began to argue.

"I was here first! Let me talk to her!"

"Mine problem is more important so I need you to leave!"

"Eh? I'm happy you guys get to see me, but what's this about?" The dark haired Watanabe spoke up.

"I need to talk to you, but he needs to leave the room!" The lighter Watanabe pointed at Sumio.

"Well I also need to talk to you, but she needs to leave the room!"

"You guys know I can talk to you both right? Just one at a time of course." She said thoughtfully. "Just settle this with rock paper scissors."

"That's a great idea!" Sumio grinned, "I'm the best at that game."

"That's what you said about basketball." Yōu teased.

"Rock, paper, scissors, shoot!" The two chanted.

As Sumio waited in the hallway, Yōu spoke to her cousin.

"That idiot in the hallway can't take a hint!" She explained.

"What? Is he hitting on you?" Tsuki grinned.

"No! Riko's the one that likes him, but he can't even tell! And I've done everything to be the best wingman of all time!" She complained.

"Well then maybe Riko-chan should tell him."

"You known she'd never go for that."

"How do you feel about Sumio?" Her cousin stared at her.

"He's an idiot and he just needs to get with Riko so I can get satisfaction in my life."

"I see." Tsuki stroked her pretend beard. "Then just keep going with it. It'll make sense to him eventually. Or maybe he's busy thinking of something else right now."

"Like basketball?"

"Sure."

"Fine... Thanks for listening Tsuki."

"Any time little cousin." She grinned. "You can send Sumio in now."

As Yōu left he room, Sumio strode in.

"Your idiot cousin can't take a hint!" he explained.

"Are you actually hitting on her?" Tsuki cracked up.

"No! Shintaro's the one that likes her, but she can't even tell! And I've done everything to be the best wingman of all of time!" he complained.

Tsuki was now uncontrollably laughing. "Well then maybe Shintaro should just ask him!"

"What are you laughing for? I thought you said you'd listen!"

"I'm sorry I'm sorry!" she wiped a tear from her eye. "I'm listening! I promise... but how do you feel about Yōu?"

"She's an idiot that just needs to get with Shintaro so I can get satisfaction in my life." he said without hesitation.

"Were you listening to Yōu and I?" she asked alarmed that the two pretty much have said the exact same sentences.

"No? Anyways what should I do?"

Still stroking her pretend beard she sighed, "Then just keep going with it. It'll make sense to her eventually. Or maybe she's busy thinking of something else right now."

"Like swimming?"

"Sure."

"Fine... Thanks for listening Tsuki."

"Any time Sumio." she said still smiling. "Now go to practice jeez. Can't have the captain slacking!"

"You know it!" he said.

"By the way..."

"What's up?"

"Did Yōu actually beat you that one day?"

"I guess..."

"You're trash." Tsuki teased before shooing him away.

As he closed the door to the student council room, he spotted Riko with the choir club. She had taken the role of the piano player for them.

"Yo!" he waved over to her.

"Ah! Sumio, what's up?" she asked as she packed up her things.

"Nothing much, you heading home early?"

"Yep, do you have practice still?"

He nodded his head, "Our first game's soon. So I have to be ready."

"You are the star right?" she smiled. "I'll be watching, so do your best 'kay?" she punched his arm.

"Right! Can't let you guys see me play terribly!" Sumio waved, heading off for the gym.

As he left the hallway, Riko silently cheered to herself. "I didn't panic!" she celebrated.

"Good for you Riko!" Chika and Yōu jumped out of nowhere scaring her.

"Mou! You guys could've at least told me you were there!" she pouted.

"Come on let's go home. Way to go Riko-chan!" Yōu teased.

The three of them headed home, today was definitely a difficult day, but in the end... it wasn't too bad.

Here's chapter 5 for you all! Hope you all enjoyed and I'll see you next time!

Be safe! Mask up! Don't be stupid!
