"Someone's in a good mood today." Shintaro commented.

"I can't help it! It's game day!" Sumio grinned. It was his first game of his senior season.

"Gonna show off to the crowd today?" the baseball star asked. "Maybe a fancy dunk or something?"

"I'll do it just for you." Sumio said pretending to shoot a basket.

"I'll be looking forward to it." Shintaro said before heading inside of the school.

Seishin high was well known for their good basketball and baseball teams. Those events also housed the most fans. As he walked trying to get to school he was greeted by many "Good luck!" and "I'm going to be at the game today!"

There were plenty of girls who were also sticking close to his side that morning. "Will you score a basket for me?" one of them asked.

"Of course." he answered smiling before going into his classroom. "Yo!" he said to Yōu, Riko, and Chika.

"Morning."

"Sumio, if you ever need me to sub in for ya..." Yōu teased.

"Shut up! I told you I was going easy on you." he replied sitting down in his seat.

"Whatever makes you feel better." she grinned.

"I'll prove it to you in the game today." he stretched. "You guys are going right?"

"Duh..." she replied pulling Riko close to her, "And Riko will be cheering you on!"

"You're not going to cheer?" he acted like his feelings were hurt. "Actually, I'll gladly take Riko's support over yours."

"Wasn't going to give you any anyways!" she shot back.

"Good! I don't need your support in the first place!"

"Okay, but if you miss every shot today it's not my fault!"

"I never said that it was!"

Shintaro broke the two apart, "Alright alright, settle down. I one hundred percent agree with Yōu and declare her the winner of the argument. We will be cheering for Uranohoshi boy's school."

"Uranohoshi..." Yōu paused, "B-boy's?"

"Yeah... that's who we play every year to start off the season." Sumio explained, "Why?"

Chika was the one that answered, "Um... you see, Yōu has an issue with one of the people from that school. And he's on the basketball team."

"The captain to be exact." she sighed, "I never want to see that guy's face again!"

"What happened?" he asked.

"Uh... well freshmen year Tsuki liked a guy a lot. But he had feelings for Yōu, so he used Tsuki to get to know Yōu." Chika explained.

"That two-faced jerk played Tsuki into making friends with all three of us. Tsuki who liked him, gladly had him talk with the two of us. Then he asked me out knowing full well how Tsuki felt about him." she said angrily. "I'd never seen Tsuki so upset before..."

"That's horrible!" Shintaro said clearly angry. "If I see him today I'll give him a piece of my mind!"

"What's his name?" Sumio asked.

"Shoji Suou, one of the worst people I've ever met in my life."  Yōu clenched her fist. "The worst part about it is he still likes me."

"We ran into him a few weeks ago," Riko added. "He tried very hard to get Yōu to talk to him. Guy seriously needs to take a hint."

"I changed my mind Sumio." Yōu said, "I'll cheer for you. And I want you to absolutely destroy them!" the fire in her eyes scared Sumio.

"Yousoro!" he saluted which earned a smile from her. "Nobody does that to my girl best friend and gets away with it!"

And with that they all couldn't wait for the game to occur that afternoon...

With the gym packed for a rivalry game, both student sections were sure to cheer their team unto victory.

Yōu, Chika, Riko, Tsuki, and Shintaro all had seats near the court. The two Watanabe's watched intensely as the rival school took the court to begin warm ups.

Standing there and leading the team was Shoji Suou. He made eye contact with the two girls and waved, before coming over.

"Hey! I didn't know you went to this school Yōu." He smiled, neither Watanabe changed facial expression.

"Just transferred this year." She said nonchalantly.

"That's cool, so you and Tsuki go to the same school now?"

"It would appear so yes." Tsuki said still watching the players warm up.

Noticing how awkward the conversation was getting, he tried to make one final move.

"Hey, can we talk after the game?" He asked Yōu.

"We'll see." She shrugged, "You should probably focus on the game though," as the crowd began to roar. "Because that guy right there is gonna be the one to beat you."

As the group looked to where she pointed, Sumio emerged from the locker room. Seishin followed behind him.

Sumio walked over to the group, "Did you hear that crowd as soon as we came out?" His grin disappeared as he looked at the guy from Uranohoshi. "Who's he?"

"I'm Shoji Suou... pleased to meet you." Before heading off to join his team.

When Sumio heard the name his expression changed, "Unfortunately, I'm not pleased to meet you." He muttered. "I already don't like that guy."

"Good... cause neither do we." Tsuki said, "And if you guys don't win today I'm cutting your club's budget in half!"

"Good luck!" The rest cheered.

"Yousoro!" He yelled before going back with his team.

"Stop stealing my catchphrase!"

The teams lined up for the start of the game.

"Bow!"

"Let's a have a good game!"

And with that, it was tip off time.
