Case file 8

I woke up tied to a tree

"I don't know what's happening but I have a feeling it's not good" I said pretty groggy from just waking up.

"We-" Pitou started to say something but I stopped them.

"No not you, I want Yo-Yo Ma over there to tell me" I "pointed" to the guy with the violin.

"Ok Pouf you tell them" Pitou then whispered something to him.

"I heard that!" I yelled.

"We-" He started talking but I interrupted him.

"Don't you have any manners, aren't you going to introduce yourself?" I asked trying to push his buttons.

"You don't deserve to know it!" He said angry at the interruption to the introduction.

"That's rude I'm no more or less a person than you and I always thought violinists were quite nice" I fake pouted :(. 'I never trust anyone who plays a violin'

"As I was saying we-"

"Hang on a second, where did you get the rope to tie me up? Where did you get the machinery to build on that stuff in the room I was in. Technology isn't allowed in the NGL. This is just raising more questions?" I interrupted for the third time. "Ok I'm done"

"We... we have set up a game of manhunt with about 250 ants and-" He tried explaining again before I cut him off.

"Do you want me to round That number down to a nice clean zero?" I asked hoping all this time he would get angry.

"And the first one to either catch him or bring him back here wins" he explained. 'Good luck with that one'

"Ahem, how do I win" I asked Pushing random buttons at this point.

"That's a good poin- SHUT UP!" Pouf yelled slapping me. "You guys have till sunset to Kill but not eat him or lead him back here. Which means you have, what time is it?" 'Oh sad little butterfly boy, you just lost'

"About 12:30. Damn, I was asleep for like 20 hours" I answered making a fake arm with Abracadabra.

"You have about five hours to find this human before he kills all of you or escapes" He explained the rest of the game.

"I'd just like to mention that I escaped like five minutes ago and you guys didn't even notice. It's almost comical how you thought the rope would hold me" I bluffed.

"You're lying" Pouf called me out.

"Well, I'm gonna take my Head start now. Goodbye puff, the other one, ant peoples" I broke out the ropes and started running because my life depended on it.
(Jon said Pouf's name like Puff instead of the way you're supposed to say it)

If I get caught again I am dead. Step 1, find food. Hopefully, if I run in one direction line I'll find something to eat.

"GO!" Someone shouted.

After a couple minutes of running, I found myself in a village.

"HELLO! Is anyone here. Don't worry I'm human!" I yelled hoping for someone to tell back. I started checking random houses for anything to eat. 'Oh, thank god, an apple!' I devoured that goddamn apple like a shinigami. I left a note that said, "I owe you one apple - Sincerely Jon Doe" 'Oh thank God a Well I can drink something that isn't weird dead people juice' I drank that water like it's booze.
After looking around some more I still Couldn't find anyone hopefully they're all left but I did find more food.

"We found you!" 3 chimera ants found me. Looks like my break is over.

"Hey! You've caught me in an Amazing mood. It's surprising how good a mood I'm in after eating for the first time in 6 days. If you walk away now I'll let you live" I said while taking a bite out of my third apple.
'These ants clearly have no clue what they're doing with their Nen, this won't be hard'

1 fight scene that's worth removing later.

"Run along little ant" I shooed away the one ant I hadn't brutalized with all the anger I'd pent up over the past week. "And don't forget about my message or I'll finish the job!" I yelled to him as he sprinted away.

'Now, I need to find a high point to locate the Morels smoke. Well, I see the highest point but it's the Nest. Where was that smoke from a couple of days ago' I went and got another apple for the road.

Before leaving I used Abracadabra to make a soundless fireworks show to give my location before leaving.

Neferpitou POV

"You're pet was a pain in the ass. Why did you keep him?" Pouf asked.

I told Pouf that "He pushes buttons. You'd think an empath would be good at not having their they're buttons pushed?" 'I want to go play but I have to guard the nes-'

"Lord Neferpitou" One of the ants was running towards us and he had what looked like a piece of paper taped to his head.

"What is it, Soldier?" This definitely piqued my interest.

"I have a note for you" The soldier ant handed me a piece of paper, from a notepad.

After I read it over I handed it to Pouf and said while trying to hold back my laughter. "Pouf you might want to read this" The note said 'The day I; Jon Doe, graced your Nest was the best day of your life but for me, it was Tuesday' The handwriting was terrible and hard to read.

While reading the note Pouf looked unfazed then when he was finished he looked confused "Which part are you talking about the part about? The best day of your life or the part about the sunglasses"

"Sunglasses?" I took the note back. The front had the joke but the back said "I forgot to take my sunglasses back from you" 'oh yea I Completely forgot I had these "Since I don't really want to see you ever would you be willing to UPS them back to me cuz I'd really hate to lose them. If not the just give them to any bird and they'll know what to do"
I held up the piece of paper and asked "Can you tell me why you have this note"

"The human tore one of the soldiers in our squad to pieces and then, he made me & another soldier kill each other. After I won he gave it to me... sir!" 'I never would've expected Jon to do that'

"Thank you soldier you can go inside and practice with the other ants now" I said waving him away

"Yes sir!" He saluted and ran away.

I stood up and started going up to the top of the Nest before Pouf asked me "Where are you going?"

"He asked me to give him his sunglasses" I answered.

"You can't join the game. It's for training the weaker ants" Pouf explained. 'Fine' I sat back down.
