The eyes can say the unsaid even if the face doesn’t. When the warmness in them disappears and is replaced by pain that’s when you understand what impact your rudeness can bring to a person who always had the warmth in them.

The emotion that ran through those brown eyes pained him. He felt as if something inside of him was drowning and he was desperate for a hand that would help him out from the underwater of what even he couldn’t point out.

It’s been hours now and the argument that they had in the open balcony of the villa was still fresh in his mind reminding him again and again of those damn brown eyes. They are the reason, why he is feeling so low the way they conveyed the message to him, made him feel like the most heartless person in the entire world.

“Try as much as you want to finish us to get rid of us of this relation that we hold and I will try harder to save us” even though the hurt was cut through clear in her eyes, her voice holds the determination the power to prove him wrong to make him fail in his own plan that clearly amused him by the way she had held her chin up staring straight into his cold eyes when she'd said that.

His lips tug up as he remembers that and a ghost of a smile appears on his face before they vanish away when he reminds himself to not be flattened by the way her smart mouth works. Even though the continuous reminder of not being affected by her mesmerising beauty, smart mouth, warm eyes, soft skin, high on top attitude all of it concerns him in a way that it should not be.

Running his hand roughly through his hair with an exasperated sigh, he goes towards the attached balcony of the room for a breath of fresh air and yet it didn’t give him the peace he desperately needed so he opted for another option. Fishing in his jeans pocket he takes out a pack of cigarettes taking one between his lips, cupped his hands before lighting it. He placed both the lighter and the pack on the flat surface of the railing and took a long drag from the cigarette closing his eyes he faces skywards before blowing the waft of smoke into the air. Slowly opening his eyes he meets with the moon glowing around the pitch darkness of the sky. He wonders how beautiful is it that the sky too dark finds its light through the moon and here he is fighting for the light to overcome the darkness clouding over him.

Sighing he drags another puff blowing half of it into the air half taking in. He didn't mind the amount of intoxication he took in it was nothing compared to his toxic life. The soft sound of grass crushing grabbed his attention and he looks towards the sound coming from the backyard down the balcony. And it would be a lie that no one had made his breath hitched as she does. Looking angelic and ethereal under the soft glow of the moonlight.

A light blue salwar suit with a dupatta wrapped around her shoulders prevented her from the cold breeze, hair tied lose in a low bun held by her favourite spiral rubber band on the base of her nape tendrils of hair brushing her soft cheeks her full lips parted to take a sip from her steaming cup of tea while she walked barefoot on the grass of the backyard soaking in the cold coming from them against her warm feet.

Arsalan’s gaze moved as she walked around the backyard with her eyebrows scrunched together she looked deep into her thoughts minutes later something flashed and suddenly the sad expression takes over her beautiful features. She looks heavenwards and even under the dim light, he could see her eyes carrying the hurt he had given to her. The heartless devil that’s what she must be thinking of him because that’s what he has been to her.

He never planned to do anything intentionally it would come out when he would be frustrated or irked by her smart mouth. He had found himself getting too much worked up whenever she opens her pretty mouth.

A soft laugh echoed in the silent night snapping Arsalan out of his thoughts his gaze landed back on where she was and something inside him felt furious at the scene in front of him. She had a smile that he strangely craved to be only looked at by him, the dimple denting her checks tug his heart wishing it was the sight just for him to be seen. He didn’t know why was he feeling that way but he didn’t like it a bit the way she was smiling at the silly jokes Zaid was throwing towards her. She felt easy and naive there. It was fascinating to him how her mood entirely changes when someone tries to make silly jokes just to make her laugh she could easily fall for it.
