She jolts up with a loud gasp her breathes getting uneven she looks around frantically blinking to an unfamiliar surrounding she licks her lips her mouth feels desert-dry she feels tightness around her chest that made her look at the attire a realisation downs upon her “it wasn't the nightmare it really did happen” she whispers to herself. Looking down at her bridal dress her henna adorned hand reminded her of the most heart-aching scenes from yesterday night. She wished all of those to be a nightmare but they weren't.
Calming herself she stands up from the soft persian carpeted floor where she had fallen asleep. She looks around the room and it feels so cold and empty, it lacked the warmness that brings comfort to one soul. Looks like she has to get used to it.
She glances at the bed that was tugged in a soft off-white coloured bedsheet with a dull golden brown colour pillow. The rose petals covered bed was now all dried up even the string of roses that were hung behind the bed on a wall had wilted to death. She felt as if she was representing them wilted and never to bloom again.
Everything from yesterday night came running back to her and her heart twisted in a painful way that led to a lone tear running down her cheeks. Wiping the tear away she looked for her luggage around the room to get rid of this suffocating dress the one that she had adored a night before just so that to get bonded with someone who doesn't want her to be his wife.
It was enormous the room was so spacious that it had a living area inside the room itself on the left side of the bed with a grey sofa set and a black and white marble coffee table in the centre which had the remnants of the aromatic candles from yesterday. The walls of the room were the shades of grey from lighter to a darker shade. The geometric shapes were designed on one of the walls behind the bed. The front of the bed had the attached ottoman. There was a huge flat LED TV on the opposite wall with a lavish unit design. The floor-length windows had luxurious heavy curtains in the shade of whites. Everything looked sumptuous but for her, it was nothing but an empty barn.
She desperately looked around for the wardrobe or the closet where she could find her luggage and that’s when she saw a large tinted black glass door opposite to her leading into a closet. She walked towards it and slide open the glass door to enter. She was awed by the interior of the closest that was dimly lit in white lights the wood used was the lighter shade of grey whereas the wooden flooring was of a darker shade with soft carpet. Rows and rows of ironed clothes were hung perfectly in the closet. There were sections for formal to casual shoes, ties, watches, perfumes and fresh towels. She had come to know one thing that the guy is crazily in love with the colour grey with the amount of grey used in the room. She finally spotted her rose gold pieces of luggage that were standing out in this grey closet.
